yeah, the whole 'lose weight by breastfeeding'..... apparently thats been scientifically proven- not weight particularly, but rather inches from your hips and thighs- anyway, it has never been true for me (or anybody I know IRL!), it seemed like when I was BFing, my body was clinging to those pounds for dear life!

I"ve lost most of it, although it bounces up and down a bit. I was at pre-preg, then up again after the holidays. My boobs are still HUGE! And my belly has a bit of fat. I think it will go when I stop bfing.

I think the "weight loss while bfing" is true at the beginning -- the stimulation of the breasts causes the uterus to push out it's contents (blood, excess water, etc) so you lose more quickly at the beginning. Definitely true for me!

So here's a question for you ladies.... Who has nasty sagging skin left over on their belly? By sagging, I mean hanging down/folded over :omg: That was my present from Emma.... my tummy used to be flat (fat, but flat!), and now I have a built in muffin top :(

Ah, don't get me started on the belly....

Before I had kids, I only had the pooch below my waistline--I could still smush it flat, you know? Now, I have this roll ABOVE my waistband. WTF is that???

Everything else looks pretty normal (except for my huge gazangaboobs--that have definitely succumbed to gravity a little bit more than I remember), except for that belly roll.

I was down to my pp weight at 6 weeks (I gained about 30) but wanted to loose more. So I decided to get a personal trainer, pricey, but worth every penny and more. I am now down 15 pounds less than pp. My goal is to get to my High school weight by my 32nd bday in April.

Now that i'm not working I have way more time to get to the gym so that really helps.

The saggy belly thing is just killing me. I did gain a lot of weight over the past few years (skinny my whole life until the butt-end of my 20s, but I won't even touch that subject) yet my tummy was still flat flat flat. It was my favorite part of my body and now I can't even look at it :(

I gaines 34 lbs with pregnancy and have 6-8 to go. I would like to lose another 10 on top of that. With this stomach flu I have right now, I might actually accomplish it. Not the way I was planning however. Some of my pre pregnancy jeans fit and others don't. All my weight used to be in my belly, but now it has spread to my hips ass and thighs!

My skin is hanging over....I have always been overweight, but I was a "solid" overweight, KWIM? Now it's all saggy looking and it feels like jello.....does it come back to normal eventually with some exercise or something?

Exercise will definitely help--but I've noticed I have a lot harder time firming up the belly. I can get the flab off my legs, my a$$, my thighs, whatever. It does NOT come off my belly (or my boobs, for that matter).

At least I can suck it in, now, though. That, at least, is something.

I always tell DH..."as long as my boobs stick out further than my belly..."

I didn't start dropping weight (at least any of the weight that wasn't water weight) until I STOPPED bf. My body just hung on to it while I was BF.

I lost 20 of 36 gained in the first 2 weeks...then it seems to have stuck at about 14 pounds up (now 7 weeks pp)
Hopefully once I get back into a gym routine things will start coming off. The breastfeeding isn't helping as of yet...but maybe because I'm eating too much sugar! ha ha!

I gained 40 lbs with my DD, mostly my fault as I ate like there was no tomorrow during my pregnancy. I lost 50 lbs by 2-3 months pp and am now thinner than I've been in years (size 7-8, was size 12-14). It's got to be due to breastfeeding as I'm not exercising much (other than daily walks with the baby). I'm a little worried about what's going to happen when I stop nursing, as I'm still eating like a maniac...I will probably (reluctantly) join a gym!
