COra held on to her 2 naps for awhile....she did a morning nap and afternoon nap about 1 1/2 hrs each....I tried pushing her to one nap and it backfired big I just let her do it when she was ready. The morning nap got a bit later....etc...and now she takes one nap about 12:30-3ish. :D

Both of the girls took more than 1 nap past 18 months.

OJ is 21 months now and usually has 2 naps still. She takes a long one in the early afternoon (2-3 hours) and then a short nap (1 hour or so) in the evening. She goes to bed around 8:30-9.

Sawyer switched to 1 nap between 13-14 months I think. We went back and forth for a while, and watched his cues to see what worked. Sometimes it was a nap from 11-12 or so, then a catnap at around 4:30.

He started taking his one nap around 11, but it has moved later. Now it is more like 12:30-1 and he sleeps about 2ish hours.

Riley has always been a 1 nap guy When he napped. I can't believe your Lo's sleep so much lol. He doesn't even nap anymore now unless we have a really busy day and falls asleep in the car. If he naps its in the afternoon. We have a real late night lifestyle, and he doesn't have a set bedtime or schedule. We just go with the flow.

Vivian went to 1 nap around 9 months. She has been sleeping 12 hours at night and on average takes a 2 hour nap after lunch since then. At 9 months she dropped her morning nap. She just wouldn't go to sleep in the morning. Before she dropped the morning nap she was taking a 45 minute to 1 hour nap in the morning and in the afternoon. Now she takes 1 nap and sleeps 1.5-2 hours.

Cameron dropped to one nap at around 14 months. He was taking two 45 min or so naps and he dropped to one 1.2 to 2 hour nap (sooo much better!) He had been napping from about 11-1 but recently he has been napping from 1-3 which I prefer except that now he thinks he needs to stay up later.....

:hi: I voted 13-14mths. Leah's been fighting her first nap for about a month now...which is normally at 1:30pm- but now it's about every other day or 2 days she'll nap at that time but more often she's been taking her 'nap' closer to 4-5pm. (she sleeps in til about 11am everyday) So now, it's getting harder by the time I'm ready for bed she wants to stay up longer some nights.

I can't remember for sure, but I think it was about 14 months. He always napped at 9:30 or 10 am, and then again in the afternoon. But suddenly he started sleeping way late in the morning, and then half the time I couldn't get him down for his morning nap. And then even afternoon naps were becoming a struggle. It seemed to be a pretty natural progression for him to drop the morning nap because nothing was working anymore.

Once we dropped morning nap, things improved for a while, then all of a sudden he started waking up super early (at like 6 am when he previously slept until 8 or 9). It was several weeks of that and then he figured it out and we got our routine down, which was wake up at 7:30 or 8 am, nap from 1-2:30ish, bedtime at 8:30.

I could only submit one vote, but I have three here is how it goes at our house.

Grifyn was 17 months when he went down to 1 nap. He now sleeps from 1-3pm.

Olivia and Gavin are both hit and miss with 2 naps a day. Some days they sleep twice a day from 11-12pm and then again from 2:30-4pm. BUT then there are other days they will just sleep from 1-4-4:30pm.

I am a creature of habit and I LOVE routine for the kids, so I can't say that I haven't tried everything to keep them on a schedule, however, they have an older brother that they want to be around and with Gavin now finally walking he doesn't want to sleep for he would rather be up and playing.

Sorry I misread your post I thought you said when did you LO drop their nap.

I dont really remember when LO went from 2 to 1 nap, it was so long ago, she has never been a very good napper.

She dropped her 1 nap at about 16 months and very rarely has one now unless we are in the car for a long time.

She does get tired in the afternoon, and if you sit her on your knee at around 4pm she would drop off but then she struggles to go to sleep at bedtime so we tend to avoid naps altogether.

I do miss her having a nap after lunch though - 12 hours straight of entertaining a nearly 19 month old is hard work!
