Help - need song suggestions for a montage

Postby slinds » Fri Apr 15, 2011 2:30 pm

Hi girls - I am at a loss for a song for my little boy's first montage that I am putting together. I have done several for my little girl and am totally drawing a blank. Any help is appreciated!

have you tried looking on itunes to see if there's any songs with his name? We've used a couple with DD's name for video montage's.

also - not sure about what the pics look like so maybe not appropriate but "I'm still a guy" by Brad Paisley.

or
"My Wish" by Rascal Flats
"The One Who Knows" by Dar Williams
"Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)" by John Lennon,

and I've used this one for our daughter but I think it could go either way: Billy Joel's "Lullabye"

I also used this one to make a "daddy" cd for my husband from our DD for Father's Day: 'It Won't Be Like This For Long' by Darius Rucker
Me (Tiff) - 30, DH - 31
DD - born 11/4/2008

Brad Paisley has a newish song..."If he's anything like me"

I also like Uncle Kracker's "You make me smile." That's what I'm going to use for my DS's first year video clips. :D

I second "Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon. :hb:

More of an upbeat one, "If I had a million dollars" by barenaked ladies.

"Anything you want" (I know a lot of people have done this one, it's the one on the target add... I think Bonnie Rait did one version).

That's all I can think of right now...

Heres what I've used for my son

First year: I Don't Love You Much (Do I), These Are Days

Second year: 100 Years, Forever Young, In My Life

Third year: Let Them Be Little, This is the Time (to remember)

For DS's first birthday slideshow in February I used:

You are so Beautiful - Joe Cocker
Sweet Child of Mine - Sheryl Crow version
These are the Days - Van Morrison
Smile - Uncle Kracker
What a Wonderful World - Willie Nelson version
