Eczema and Aquaphor

Postby Lita74 » Wed May 04, 2011 11:14 am

I have heard Aquaphor is good to use on toddlers with Eczema. Unfortunately they don't sell it in Canada. My parents are going to the Staates, and I want them to pick some up for me. Is this an item that is pretty easily found at say Walmart or CVS?

I would appreciate it if someone could suggest a major chain that sells it, so my parents aren't hunting everywhere :-)

thanks!

It is at Walmart. Honestly, the Walmart brand is the exact same as the Aquaphor brand. If you compare ingredients, they are the same. It's also several dollars less!! Just a thought :)

I've seen it at Kroger, Target, CVS, and Walgreens.

It will be at most stores you look at. It is also at Amazon and Diapers.com.

My son gets something on his back that I think is borderline exzema (can never spell that word), and the tub of thick Eucerin cream seems to work better for him. Actually I have to go get some today, we are all out and he is scratching again.

We buy it at Target, can't seem to find it at Walmart. And they sell it at CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid as well.

My DD has moderate eczema. We cover her after every bath in Eucerin cream. I think it works much better than Aquaphor. It seems to absorb better or something.

We use a moisturizing cream called Vanicream.

We LOVE IT and per our pedi's instructions - we it slather on my son every time we change his diaper and through out the day as needed.

I have a bad case of it too and I use it as well.

It is creamy, free of fragrance and dyes and I like it because it doesn't leave us feeling sticky.

Something else you can use is Vanicream - you can get it at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, etc. My DD sees a dermatologist, and this is one of the things that he recommended (Eucerin and Aquaphor too - which are made by the same company).
