potty training?

Postby Hunnybunny22 » Tue May 10, 2011 7:48 am

my son is 2 this weekend and his nursery have told me he is ready for potty training. he is going long periods between peeing and pooping and so they let him sit on the potty and he did two wee's and a poo at nursery so we sent him in pants this morning and loads of spares and spare trousers.
how long does it roughly take before going to the nightime step of going dry?
when do we take this step and how do we approach it. we are going to get a sheet for his bed for accidents
any tips would be appreciated

Sorry I dont have answers, we have not even thougth abt PT. But a friend of mine said that before you start to PT they need to be sleeping in a toddler bed so they can get up and go potty at night. Do you know abt this? Is you LO not in the crib anymore?

DD still isn't dry at night and she is 2.5 It seems like the more serious we are about PT during the day the better she does at night with holding it. she isn't always dry at naptimes either. Night time is the last step basically. HTH!
