Does your toddler use a pillow at night?

Postby Lita74 » Sun May 15, 2011 6:19 pm

Hi,

My twins will be 2 in a couple of weeks. They are still in a crib, but don't use a pillow. However, when they are in our bed, they like to put their head on the pillow.

I am just wondering when is a common age to give a child a pillow.

I gave them pillows in their PNP's when we went camping last weekend and they took 3 hour naps and STTN for the first time in forever.

Got home, no pillows, 2 hour naps and no STTN. Coincedence? Hm.....I'm gonna find out tonight because I gave them pillows tonight! Lol.

we started letting DD have a pillow (a really little one from BRU) not long after a year and then at about 21 months when we switched to a big girl bed we gave her a body pillow that she uses for a regular head pillow.

At about 20 months I bought ds a pillow from babies r us for toddlers. It is memory foam and perfect for his head. In fact it is specifically made for toddlers. He loves it and sleeps wonderfully with it.

I was wondering about this.. My LO moves around so much that I did not think that she would even stay there. Plus was worried abt her smoothering herself.... Should you use a harder one (like memory foam) vs a fluffy one.?

We just started giving him one last week. He is excited about it being in his crib, but he pushes himself off of it before he falls asleep, and sleeps just below it.

My LO is 2 in 3 weeks time and I started using a pillow this week. She has STTN 3 nights in a row. So I don't know if its the pillow or just coincidence? 8O
