Resisting night time bottle???

Postby jamie81 » Sun Jun 12, 2011 5:58 am

DD (13mos) just recently started refusing her night time bottle. We only give her 2 bottles a day one in the morning and then again in the evening after her bath. She will drink an ounce and then squirm and wiggle until she gets down. If I offer her something else like yogurt she will eat it. She isn't huge on milk so I just want to make sure she is getting enough. We have been mixing half toddler formula and half cows milk in her bottle. In a way I think its a good so we can wean her off the bottle. This morning I tried a sippy cup and it didn't work so I put it in a bottle and she drank it. Does this sound normal or do think I should switch to another milk??? Any suggestions?

How many ounces is she drinking during the day? My girls only do 2 cups of milk, pedi said it was normal. They usually do about 12-24 ounces at this age. As they get older they start to cut down.

I am not sure how well the babysitter does during the week but with me on the weekends its not even close to 12 ounces. Probably more like 8-10 on a good day. She does eat yogurt and loves string cheese.
