Did your LO like fireworks?

Postby Grooviechick » Fri Jul 04, 2008 8:18 pm

Last year, Kaitlyn was only 1 month old today, so she slept thru all the fireworks she saw.

Kaitlyn saw big fireworks last weekend at our church's big firework show. She sat with her mouth open the whole time. Tonight, DH shot a bunch from our driveway and she *loved* them!! It was so very cute to listen to her "talk" about them. She'd point in the sky and make a "shhhkuh" sound.

So did your little one like them??

Kaydence just loves them. We actually got to sit in an area where we got to see shows from about 5 different places at once. She couldn't figure out which one to watch and just kept swooshing her head back and forth and pointing. We can't do any at home because they are illegal to possess now. :(

My darling little man LOVED the fireworks last night!! He saw some teaser fireworks while we were waiting for the big show and he kept looking around and saying "peese".. It took about a half hour for the real show to start and he watched in awe and was saying "wow"

i :hb: this boy. :)

I have never seen proper fireworks, only on tv :( they are illegal here. Every new years eve, they leave off a few in the army barracks and its the most pathetic sight you have ever seen, they whiss up into the air and fizzle out, the kids dont even bother going out to see any more.

Jason LOVED them. He sat with his mouth open at first, but then he started reaching for them. We went to a friend's house, so they lit some off, but they were only on the ground. We weren't allowed to set any off that were airborne  I think next year we'll go watch the big fireworks.

We missed them last night  If it doesn't rain, we may get to see a smaller display at the minor league baseball stadium. Ah well, Sophie has no idea anyway!

That was another issue we had... The fireworks were supposed to be at 8:30pm but that is still 2 hours past her bedtime. She is a bit crabby and woke up twice last night which she never does.

We went to a party and got home at 8, so no fireworks for us. Even that was past Sophie's bed time. I figure we'll have plenty of years ahead to watch fireworks.

Ya way to late for us!!! Mckenna never would have lasted. She is usually in bed between 6:45 and 7:00pm, so maybe in a few years!!!

Those who did see the fireworks do you lo's go to bed later normally or did they just stay up later that night?

Brayden loved them. He kept laughing at the ones that make the fizzle noise when they come down. I think since he did so well, we are going to see some more tomorrow night too. :D
