if you told your 5 year old not to open the front door to anyone or for any reason while you took a quick shower and he informs you while you are in the shower that he opened the front door AND now he can't lock it
What kind of punishment should I give him? I haven't discussed it with my hubby yet.
I am livid! But in control

I don't think punishment is needed. I would either get a dead bolt that is keyed on both sides or a flip lock like this one. We are getting ready to purchase a few of these for our doors since Vivian can now unlock and open all the doors.
just got to home depot website and search Flip-action door lock. I can't post links or images right now. THis is what the daycare uses for the doors.
