Cole Asher B.'s nursery FINISHED(updated 12/10/07)

Postby millymomma » Mon Jul 09, 2007 8:23 am

UPDATE/FINISHED: I'm 35weeks, on bed rest, and realized I never posted finished pictures of Cole's nursery. It doesn't look great in these pics, and I have the highchair, a carpet cleaner, and the stroller part of his travel system sitting in the room, but it gives the general idea. I also included his cradle (has his musical sounds and lights mobile on it until we move him to his crib after the first months.

Ok, I know I'm ahead of the game (painted at 12wks), but we wanted to get stuff done while I have the summer off. This is the start of our nursery. Walls look a tiny bit darker in the pics than they really are. They actually look brighter and happier.

I'm making a window seat for this window

UPDATE 8/2/07
I went to a pottery store and painted this turtle bank and a platter that I turned into a clock.

[b]UPDATE 9/4/07
I'm still a tad early to be working on his nursery this much, but I just can't help it (21weeks)!
I made his wall letters, painted them and the stars, made curtains, and ordered a sheer curtain with white stars on it. It still needs the window seat completed.

I painted these wooden plaques, then added the wooden decals from Hobby Lobby.

The nursery bedding is Heavenly Soft Brand, in Sage Dot.

Milly,

That is the same crib that we are going to be getting. How do you like it? Does it seem sturdy to you? And the paint color is nice... the same color we have up in the room already... so we are going to keep the color and go with a neutral theme since we are having a little girl.

Dawn: It does seem very sturdy, although I supposed it also depends on how tightly it's put together lol. I love the way it looks in there lol. We too are doing a very neutral theme. It'll be interesting to compare ideas.

Ang: It's good to know I'm not alone, and thanks!

Looks great! Guess I'll be making a trip to Hobby Lobby. Did you get the plaques there also or just the decals?

I got the plaques, paint, and decals there. It's all in the wood area. Unfortunately, at ours they only had those three vehicles, but they had more that were unpainted. If you feel ambitous, you could paint some more yourself. Enjoy your crafting!
