My son Jackson's nursery

Postby theformerblonde » Tue Jul 31, 2007 9:03 am

Only a few more weeks to go, thank goodness! Here are some of the initial pictures of the nursery. I have a few more things to add (a throw for the chair, pictures on the wall, etc) but overall I am going to keep it very simple. I hope the pictures aren't too big!

I LOVE THE WALL LETTERS. And the idea of the build a bear. I think I'll have to do that for christmas. it is such a sweet idea. I like the simplicity of the room. very cute!!

I love it! The wall letters are great. I've been planning all along to do the same thing once we know if Cole Asher or Lydia Joy is tumbling around in there lol.

I also love the build a bear idea. My DH and I were just talking about that this weekend, and then today I see a few posts with them in it. How funny.

We want to do one with a heart and message stuffed in, and a message box so that we can record our first prayer for our baby.

Thanks!

The bear is so sweet and soft, I hope it becomes one of those toys that he never gets rid of no matter how old he is.

It was certainly a fun project! My suggestion is don't try and hang them in a straight line. Try and make them going in a wave, or offset them. That makes them much easier to hang!

I recorded my own voice for the bear, it's me saying "I love you Jack Harper." My friend bought the voice recorder in advance and took it with her to next dr's appt. She recorded the heartbeat from the doppler. The prayer is also a fantastic idea!

Awe, I bet he will cherish that forever. I agree with you too about hanging the letters creatively. I do the same thing with multiple frames on a wall lol.

I did! They are cardboard letters from Hobby Lobby. I used pray-paint primer to seal them, then used basic craft paints with foam brushes.

They are my favorite part of the room aside from the lime green shag rug in front of the crib.
