Lana's Nursery Pics...Almost Finished!

Postby gemesq » Tue Sep 25, 2007 9:48 pm

I am almost done w/ our nursery and soooo glad- it was a lot of work. I love going in her room and looking around- it makes it so real! Let me know what you think.

Ah! I LOVE THIS ROOM! I am also doing dots and stripes, but I don't know what I am having so my colours are brown/turquoise/lime green. If I knew I was having a girl I envisioned a room just like yours.

This is beautiful! Is that paint or fabric below the chair rail?

I actually painted it- I started with a white base coat and then measured out the chocolate and pink stripes, taped them off and painted. Then I had to wait until the chocolate stripes were dry to paint the pink stripe in the middle. The prep work is what took a long time. Taping off each line was a PAIN! You have to use a level to make sure the lines are straight and then make sure the tape is securely against the wall so you don't get bleed-through, which happens regardless because my walls are textured.
