Hi
We just bought a new home and our oldest dd will have her own room now. My husband wants to do tinker bell for her. She is 2 and a half. I am fine with that.

Well to our elation we are expecting a boy. He will be sharing a room with our youngest dd Abbey who is right now 6 months old. They will be less then a year aprt when he is born. I am trying to figure out how to do a combined nursery. Should I mix girl and boy or should I go with one theme. What are neutral themes for a co - ad baby room. They will sort of almost be like twins. Irish twins is what they keep getting called LOL

ANy ideas. I had thought about putting on the wall above each of their cribs the poems..

ABove Abbey's
" Sugar and Spice and everything nice, thats what little girls are made of."

And of course above his. " snakes and snails and puppy dog tails, thats what little boys are made of"

Her crib is white and her dresser is white and his dresser and crib are a light maple.

OK so there you have it HELP.. ANy suggestioons on what to do. Colors to paint, themes that might work..

Thanks
Danah

I would go with one theme that is gender neutral. What about doing an animal theme of some sort? I can't think of anything specific right now.

I would go a netural theme too. Colour would bepend on what theme you went for. Maybe a disney baby theme or Teddy bears??

Since your oldest DD is only 2.5 what about doing a shared room for the girls in a pink or light purple? You could keep tinkerbell or even do the dinsey princess room or barbie??

Good luck, posts lots of pics when it done!!

You could do bugs. Butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, etc for your DD and bumblebees, beetles, etc.

Here are some examples:

I actually think if you did a Tinkerbell/Captian Hook theme in the shared room that would be cute. You could to more Tink stuff on the girl side and more Captian Hook/Peter Pan stuff on the boy side.
