Kaydence's Room - watch it grow!

Postby deleteme » Thu Feb 08, 2007 1:49 pm

I've decided to start a sort of journal on my progress with Kaydence's nursery. So here goes with day 1, I started the lower half of the room cutting in last night and today I'll finish cutting in the other 2 walls and roll it.

Woohoo I've finally got 2 updates...here is the first of many changes to come. After 2 days I finally got the two coats of rolling done, good grief that was a killer on my wrists and back. I'm leaving the rest up to my dad, plus the paint was making me sneeze like crazy.

This would be my dad starting the first coat of the top color.

And today he got the first coat of cutting in and rolling done of the top color. I'm so in love with this theme I'd do it to my own room if I thought my hubby would go for it. LOL I can already see our little fuzzy haired little girl bouncing through her room, smearing dirty little hand prints across the walls. LOL

Image

Ignore the ugliness between the two colors, that will soon be covered up by border. I just have to wait for the paint to set up and dry really good. You also get a little peek of all the snow we got. It's way worse than it looks.

And a peek into her ever growing closet. Someone seriously needs to take all my cash away! I'm starting to wonder if I've become a pink-a-holic 8O

Everything looks adorable. I love the room and the closet full of pink. My baby's closet is full of blue, but looks about the same...LOL. I love to buy for him too.

The room looks great! I really love that you are documenting it this way!

Tell me about the pink! I do not think it is that you have a pink fetish, but more that it is hard to find things these days that are adorable and not pink! Everything is pink, blue, or yellow (I love that green and some purple is coming into the scene). I am going to post my outfits from yesterday in my shopping spree post--it was so hard NOT to get pink items. I could barely find em! Good thing I like pink ;)

BTW, where did you get those hangers! I do not have any hangers and I just about winced when I saw all the hangers being removed from what I was buying yesterday!

Thanks gals. Babies R Us has them 10 for 1.49. I think they had pink, blue, and yellow.

Your room looks so beautiful so far. I am so antsy to do my baby girls room. I have to wait for furniture to get started. Hopefully my DH will paint this weekend the room.
