Oh I'm soooo excited! I finally bought our first two pieces of furniture! We bought a smaller more compact changing table and we'll use the one that comes with the set as more for a dresser/book shelf. I got that put together all by myself the other night, I worked on it until nearly 3am! Luckily my hubby had one of his buddies over to help move it to her room, I'm suprised it made it there in one piece as they spent the whole night trying out the Jamaican overproof rum and cubans we brought back. We also ordered the crib from Babies R Us, it should be here in about 7 days.

And this is the crib we bought.

Today I got a steal on the pack n play I've been looking for. Babies R Us doesn't carry anything in pink so I almost boought a neutral one for almost 150 when I was at walmart and saw this Graco Pack n Play with bassinett and changing table for only $78!!! I snatched it up and put it all together this evening. It's gonna hang out in her room until we get our room rearranged and then she'll sleep next to me for a few week in the basinett part. My cat decided to check it out as well, so hopefully he'll get over sleeping next to me and move onto the changing table part. :D

that cot is GORGEOUS!! i love it!

I had a very similar colour scheme for my daughter, the only difference was the pink ended 3/4 of the way up the wall instead of 1/2 way.... but other than that its very close!
My breech baby Daniel Warren Michael arrived by C section on Thursday November 8th at 12.13pm weighing 8lb 9 1/2oz!
and he is GORGEOUS!

Thanks everyone. It's coming along slowly but surely. I managed to get the wall letters up today..had to stand on a box of diapers to do it. LOL

Here's our newest update...the crib bedding should arrive late this week.

LOL...you put your dad to work, too? My Dad seems to be the resident painter for my house, too! Also the builder. He loves that stuff!

Great room, by the way!

LOL Yeah, he does it for a living and I can get discount rates from him. :D He actually was nice enough to take a break from his current job to do Kaydee's room, our living room, and in May he'll be doing our son's room in the Disney Car's theme.

I love what you did with the baby's name. It is so cute. I hope you don't mind but it helped me with a idea on how to do my girls name. I wasn't happy with what i had done so far.

Go for it, it was sooo much cheaper to do it myself and I think they turned out pretty well. I just need to go in and straighten the letters on the wall, a few are hangin a little crooked. In total I spent around $23 for materials.
