twins nursery

Postby faith » Thu Feb 15, 2007 1:04 pm

we are having boy/ girl twins....and had the HARDEST time coming up with a theme for both of them. i started taking pictures of the nursery process this weekend...

the first pictures are the pottery barn sheets i found on ebay...and then you can see progress of the bugs i have been painting on the walls. i forgot to bring pictures of the finished girl bugs but there are several pictures of the boy's wall. we are finishing the background color which is a butter yellow.

it has been so much fun that i had to share!

these were from a few weeks ago (before the room was filled from wall to wall with gifts! :D ) so thankful for how we have been provided for!! we found the dresser/ changing table on craig's list for only $100. the shelf is from pottery barn outlet for $20. the lamps are from walmart & everything else is pottery barn kids from ebay! now i am just waiting on the mattresses and berkley's bumper. it is so peaceful..one of my favorite things to do the last few weeks is just sit in the glider and think/ pray. glad to have the nursery ready because i didn't realize how much time it would take to organize clothes/ gifts! this time is flying by!!!

****UPDATED****

the rug is new from PBK on ebay... before too long the frames will be filled with sweet little faces! i love the green & white polka dot frame...it says "two peas in a pod"! and the little baby bible on the night stand was a gift from a sweet retired teacher that still subs at our school. precious! i have been reading to them out of it at night as i sit in the glider. it is my favorite room in the house. still waiting to come across the bright pink gingham PBK bumper on ebay to finish off the nursery. (we have the green one for our little boy)

i'm not sure why the pictures turned out all different sizes and the coloring is off because it was night time but hopefully you get the idea! enjoy :D

Awesome job! You are very tallented! We did not know the gender of our little one untill she was born, so we did a gender neutrl room, and left a few main details until the birth. I also choose bugs to accent the room, only I dont have the patience to paint something so repeticious so we used stamps and painted them! Though I think I like yours better LOL! Your children will love it! Can't wait to see the finished product!
