Daycare question

Postby Ninanadine » Sun Oct 14, 2007 6:27 pm

Hello Everyone,

I will soon return to work and will leave my daughter with a friend's mom from 7:30 am till 4:30 pm. My question is: what would be an adequate salary for her to receive?. Thank you for your help.

I don't know what daycare rates are in Arizona. They are kind of pricey in California (where I live). I watch my niece three days a week from about 7:15 am to 4:30 or 5:00 pm and I get $75/day ($225/week). If my niece was in daycare full time it would be about $1,000 - $1,200/mo (so they pay me slightly more, but they are saving money because the other two days of the week, the grandmas take turns watching her).

I don't know if this helps... I would look at what daycare costs are like in your area and pay accordingly.

HTH!

In home daycare in my state cost 200 a week. I live in Maryland.
I would say find out the average rate for in home daycare in your area, and also talk to your friends mom about how much her weekly salary would be.

We pay $40 a day, that is pretty average around here. My LO is there from 7:45-4:30.
