fighting with DH?

Postby shyviolet » Fri Dec 05, 2008 12:47 pm

Does anyone else find that they seem to be fighting with their DH all the time now? :(

Hi I had the same problem when my 1st child was born. Dh and I seemed to to be at each others throats constantly. I think its because nothing can really prepare you for the changes that a new baby brings. Your whole life changes, not to mention that lack of sleep puts everyone on edge.

I think you both just need time to adjust, I know for us we just really needed to learn how to compromise. I hope things settle down for you soon :hugs:

I just want to kill him lately!!! He will not just hold the baby he has to put him some place all the time. He's either in the swing or the crib when DH is watching him. It's like he just wants to put him away and go about his business. I don't know how people say having children brought them closer together. Sorry for the doom and gloom, but I am so frustrated with him!

HH, my DH was the exact same way. He's just scared that he'll hurt him. Wait until you're in the tub or eating and he starts crying. I had DH bring her into the bathroom and give her to me while I was bathing. He'll get better once he's a bit sturdier.

OMG I hear ya girls!!! My DH is LUCKY to still be alive!!! We argue constantly and over EVERYTHING it seems. Just tonight (a friday) he comes home and says that he wants to just hang out, have a drink, relax and listen to some tunes. I say, "RELAX! THERE IS NO RELAXING AROUND HERE WITH TWINS!!" MEN!!!!!!!!!! THEY WANT 'EM BUT WHEN THEY GET HERE, THEY CAN'T HANDLE 'EM!

Mind you, he wanted to do all this relaxing/drinking/hanging out nonsense 20 minutes after he got home and I was so exhausted by the end of the day I couldn't wait til he got here so he could help me out a bit. Then we argue about me asking him to stick around and give me a hand, and he calls me a Nazi!

puh, lease! Like that hurts my feelings!! HA!
