Duane's syndrome?

Postby lukesmommy » Wed Apr 22, 2009 1:14 pm

Does anyone's lo's have this?

Luke was diagnosed with it today at his 4month pedi appt :( Here's a link describing it:

We see a pedi eye doc @ Children's on 5/19 - we'll know more then.

I had never heard of this before. I'm sorry he is having to deal with this.

Is it in 1 eye or both?

I hope everything turns okay. Keep us posted on what the eye doctor says. Good luck at the appt!

Thanks for replying! :D

It's actually in both eyes, they both will turn inward towards the nose but not outward towards the ear. After doing a lot of research online I feel like he might have a mild case (hopefully!) :D I was able to move the appointment up from 5/19 to 5/4 so it's only a week away! :D

I hadn't heard of this before though I do hope your little one does only have a mild case. Are there therapies available for it?
Talia Grace: born Friday 13th of July, 2007, at 27w4d gestation, 700g/1.5lbs. Nursed for 4 years
and Violet Joy: born Thursday 19th, VBAC waterbirth, 39w2d, 3.35kg/7lbs 6oz, still a booby monster, just shared it with her big sister for 18 months.
