She's 2 today

And I feel kinda dead inside. Birthdays are hard to celebrate when the birth was so traumatic. I wish I could cut out the grief sometimes, but there's just no quick cure, no magical happy button to be rid of it. Just time.

She's come a long way. I'm just having trouble connecting to it when the grief is this raw again.
Talia Grace: born Friday 13th of July, 2007, at 27w4d gestation, 700g/1.5lbs. Nursed for 4 years
and Violet Joy: born Thursday 19th, VBAC waterbirth, 39w2d, 3.35kg/7lbs 6oz, still a booby monster, just shared it with her big sister for 18 months.

I'm sorry there's nothing I can say to rid your pain hun, but were here for you!! She's made you an awesome mother and spokesperson on preemies, BF, pumping in the NICU, and you've saved alot of girls!! I remember on the Oct boards when you hadn't posted, then the post we feared had come. She is a doll baby and she's SO blessed to have you as a mother!!

(((Pixie))) I know the feeling. Sweet pea's birth was very traumatic for me too. It took me 4+ months to be able to type up his birth story for friends. And we had MONTHS to prepare for it, knowing he had spina bifida.
