OMG, she's done REALLY well!

She is so cute and tiny, she's still smaller than Ethan was at birth (9lbs 4oz) but belive it or not, he's slightly on the smaller side for his age now.

Well I will pray that the op goes smoothly, that is one gorgeous little girl you have there!

*tee hee* on catching up to other children's birth weights:
My Talia was born about a month after another woman at work had her son. He was 5.3kg/ 11lb 11oz at birth. Talia was 700g/ 1lb 9oz.
Talia at 12 months old actual, only very recently pipped over 5.3kg  Jack now weighs something like 12 kg (which is getting close to what I weighed when I started school! 8O )

Good on Evie for avoiding the brain bleeds! That seriously reduces some of the risks for later development. She's doing amazingly well for a 25 weeker :D That she's also mostly over the ROP is brilliant.

Yay! Another baldy prem!!
Talia Grace: born Friday 13th of July, 2007, at 27w4d gestation, 700g/1.5lbs. Nursed for 4 years
and Violet Joy: born Thursday 19th, VBAC waterbirth, 39w2d, 3.35kg/7lbs 6oz, still a booby monster, just shared it with her big sister for 18 months.

 @ Jack now weighing in with the school age kiddos.. too cute
Yea Evie may have tipped the 9lbs scale over the weekend.. :omg: Talia was 1 before she reached 11/12lbs??? All the babies I know that were born within month/weeks of Evie are double her size but she is developing Pretty much right along with them so we have really been blessed in that respect...

Looks like Miss Evie had things she had to do out here and couldn't wait to start in April :dunno:

Thanks ladies for the thought and prayers. I am reminded everyday that I have a lil miracle living with me.

Here are some pics from this AM I know this lil girl will either love being in front of the camera or hate having her pic taken fooling with me

Converting Talia's last weigh in, two weeks ago she was 11lb 8oz. Jack's about 26lbs, if not more. (I was titchy small when I started school)

Talia's half the size of most children her age (and younger), but her development is perfectly on track for her corrected age. We just need to fatten her up. I wish the docs would get off our backs over her weight gain actually, it's immensely frustrating.

Evie is just beautiful. :D Thanks for sharing the pics.

I feel your struggle. My son was just born Nov 8th at 28 1/2 weeks. He spent 5 weeks on the vent and it's been a daily struggle to get this far with C-pap and nasal cannulas with him after both his lungs collapsed, he had nemothorax develope wich had two tubes placed in his chest His PDA needed treatment with drugs and still remains... It's a hard road. We are now 6 1/2 week into our NICU stay.... He would've been due Jan 28th.... We live 2 hours one way away fromt he hospital... I have two other boys at home that I try to balance with... Anytime you wanna share and swap stories, feel free to write me. This is my 3rd preemie. My first was 34 1/2 weeks, second was 29 1/2 weeks and then this one is my final record breaker at 28 weeks and 3 days... No more here, if you know what I mean.... PM me any tine!

OMG how time flies......

Postby MommaSweets » Wed Sep 16, 2009 10:57 am

This is a little update for those of you that supported me through one of the roughest times in my life and for those who may be going through something now similar to what I started going through 20 months and 5 days ago.

My DD is beautiful healthy and steadily growing outside of having what doctors are saying is a potential speech delay and a lacking desire to progress to table food which i have been told can be correlated she's doing just fine to only her her SAHM who is juggling college courses to boot.
I look at her and still can't believe her beginnings  I still worry I will go through something similar even though I will get stitched closed for my #2..

Here is some spam of my miracle and sending prayers to anyone who wants or need them.

The conclusion is she HATES having her picture taken now..that or she is just to busy to pose
