I was also put on insulin. I had GD with my first pregnancy and it never went away. I am now a type II diabetic. I have the insulin pens but my endocrinologist thinks I should try the pump. I am a little nervous about that and have to give it more thought. The pens are great! Very easy to use and the needles are tiny.

i was and it was horrible!
I still made an 11 pound baby!
it totally made me feel better though.
I could feel my body wasn't working properly.

I was so bruised up.

This is a super old post but I figured I would add in too.

I have always been a type 2 diabetic. Past year got it under control and no longer had to take meds (metphormin and diamachron).

I found out i was pregnant the other day, and am not yet 4 weeks (in 3 days I will be) because my sugars were so out of control high.

I have been put on the insulin pen at night, increasing by 2 units until they are at 6 in the morning.

Would love someone else in the same boat and any tips or tricks used to keep the sugars under control (I eat pretty healthy, and will increase my exercise)
