Re: The Obsessing (and Waiting) Continues!

Hey all hope you all had a lovely Easter!

How is everyone doing?

I finally had an appointment with the midwife to check on me and my little bubba. A week late though, as they had made me one last week and didn't think to tell me!

Anyhoo, the midwife is happy with how me and the baby are doing, but is annoyed at the people at the hospital not making appointments for me. 10 weeks have gone past since my last appointment (17 weeks) with the consultant there where they should have booked me in for my glucose test, anti-D injections and growth scan for 28 weeks. They did nothing, so midwife has had to chase them all up and make them for me today! I been waiting for all that time for letters to come through with my appointments, so annoying.
Unfortunately, I will have to wait 'til I'm 30 weeks for some of it now as they have no space for me. Unbelievable. To say I'm stressed is an understatement, and am trying to keep myself calm with all the cock-ups so far. Feel like banging my head against a brick wall sometimes.

How's everyone feeling?? I'm feeling awesome in this beginning of the third trimester. I'm actually enjoying being pregnant and have very little symptoms.

Ktee u looking fab!

I'm feeling tired again now, sometimes I feel a bit nauseas as well. Also, I have had a bad day today. Got results of my glucose test and unfortunately I failed it. Have to see the diabetic midwife on Friday morning to go through everything properly with me. Had my anti D injection as well and ended up reacting badly to it so I ended up in the surgery for nearly an hour whilst they kept an eye on me before I could come home. I have to be aware for the next 24 hours though in case I have any late reactions as well so not a good day so far.

Going to treat myself to a hair cut though tomorrow. Always feel better after some pampering.

But on the plus side, my midwife, doctors and health care team seem to be doing everything they can to help me with everything and keeping a close eye on me, so I feel in safe hands. They say I won't go full term either as I will be induced as early as 37 weeks depending on what my consultant thinks. Looking forward to the antenatal classes. The next 8 weeks are going to be very busy with so many appointments now. Looking forward to my next growth scan though on Tuesday so I get to see little (or not so little) bean again! :D

Ktee you look great! Lovely bump! You're really glowing.

I'm good, other than reflux having a great time. Really enjoying it. Movements are so great too!! Off on holiday in 1 week.... Last trip abroad before he/she comes! Planning a spa weekend nearer the time though too :-)

Enjoy your holiday Floss!

Ktee OMG how cute is that little pout in the second pic :D Adorable.

Don't know if I can get any more pics of mine. I'm having growth scans though so will see her again soon. My girl is a little bigger than she should be so keeping an eye on her. She is one active bubba though!

Ktee lovely pics! I know...seems so recently we were TTC and having a hard time. Can't believe we've made it this far! Home stretch now and we can truly celebrate when our little ones are in our arms!

Sam....hope all your appointments go OK. Try not to stress too much hun. It's all going to be marvellous... No doubts :)

27 weeks tomorrow! We don't get 3rd trimester scans in the UK so I have to wait til DDay to meet Flipper!!!

Have either of you thought about your birth plans?

OMG it's getting so close now for all of us. Excited and terrified all at the same time :D

I don't really have much of a birth plan to be honest. I think because of the gestational diabetes I will be getting a date set for me to go in before 40 weeks, and I have extra growth scans so I get to see little one a few more times. So unless she decides to come early, I'm expecting to have her around the 38 week mark ... which means.... just under 6 weeks to go.... EEK!

Been having lots of Braxton Hicks recently too. Some hurt so much, it makes me wonder how much more painful a real contraction is going to be .... oh dear.

Yay Sam! That's so soon!

How much bigger is nugget measuring? I had my first growth scan last week and my LO is in 88%ile! Measuring 2 weeks ahead. I'm still hoping for a vagjnal birth. I can't wait to see how big LO has grown at next scan.

32 weeks!

Looking good Ktee!

I have no idea how far ahead she is %-wise. They don't really give me much insight into that over here in the UK. The charts though (trying to fathom out all the abbreviations etc) are looking like she is a couple of weeks ahead. I have another growth scan on the 12th, then another on 26th though. I don't mind having extra scans as I love seeing her more often :) I basically have at least 1 appointment a week though for Blood Pressure checks etc - it's exhausting! Just trying to get the nursery finished now before I can't physically move LOL!
