Marie, I've heard Tylenol is safe. Other than that, I'm curious to hear the answers! Lol

So AF was due yesterday and didn't show!! Woohoo! Today is CD28 for me, but AF has consistently showed up CD27 or earlier the past 4 months... So I think I'm outta the woods. I took a FRER this morning with middle of the night urine that I saved (ewww, right?) and I think I'm pretty
close to beating the control line at 15dpo! :)

I am so debating telling my parents tonight, but I have no clue how. My fiancé is digging his way out of some financial trouble so his money is tight, but I work full time and have savings. Technically I think I could do fine raising this baby on my salary alone, except daycare is so expensive! But I'm not ready to think of all that just yet... Lol

You definitely beat the control line!! Yay!! I have no more line tests and I doubt I will buy any.

Mand- with daycare being so expensive, and costs of working (gas, work attire, lunches, etc) would you have enough profit to make it work working??

That's why I stay at home because it wouldn't be worth it financially.... I wouldn't add enough to the income to make it worth it since being home with them is so important to me.

Yeah, that's the thing.. I make about 25% more than my fiancé. On jus his salary, with me staying home, it would be tough for us to save for a bigger house. And we REALLY need a bigger place. We live in my 3 bedroom condo right now and his kids each have a bedroom to themself. That leaves no room for a baby nursery, which really bums me out. So I really want to save up to get a bigger townhouse or single family in a couple years. MD is so expensive, though. I'm not gonna have a choice but to keep working :-P

Could you go part time? Or work from home? 31 has allowed a lot of the consultants to quit their full time job and stay home. You guys could live off his income and put yours into savings for a bigger house.

Marie - I wish, but it's a 14 (almost 15) year old girl...and an 11 year old boy. So heck no!!! God, I wish they could, though. I will probably take our sun room and turn it into a nursery, but the baby will sleep in my room til we get outta this condo.

I thought about doing 31 or Scentsy. I even looked into it. What we are seriously talking about right now is moving up to Pennsylvania where the housing is MUCH more affordable. We'd pay the same for a single family home that I paid for my condo here. (Yes, that's correct. That's how ridiculous housing is here...). That way, he could work full time, and I'd probably take a part time faculty position at a local college for some extra funds. That is my master plan at this time, anyway. But it'll probably be a few years down the road, because I do want to save a bit more before we get to that stage. :)

What state do all you ladies live in?

I live in Ga.... We pay $700 a month for a 3 bed 2 bath 1500 single family home in a decent neighborhood.... But that's expensive for where I live lol....

They want to raise the rent to $770 in may, so we might move if we can find something comparible.

If you wanna think more about 31 let me know I'd love to recruit you ;-)

Hey ladies! I feel like I'm falling behind in this thread.

Just so you all know, I'm a pharmacist and drugs are my specialty. And for cough and cold meds there are none that are recommended in pregnancy. Basically we get to just suffer through it. You can use Tylenol safely but obviously not in excess. Like one every now and then would be O.K.

We told our family almost right away - we are too excited. We told close family and my best friend. FX this is a sticky bean now. LOL.

Kandii- thanks for the tip! I'll keep that in mind when I get sick later this winter. It seems to happen every march that I get a nasty cold
or pneumonia. Lol

Marie- OMG I'm jealous! My condo costs me over $1000 every month in mortgage as HOA fees. To rent a house like yours would easily cost over 2 grand a month!! If I ever do decide to do 31, you'll be my go to girl ;)

Morning girls!

Amanda - Yay for officially missing AF and beating the control line! :D I really want to do another test just so I can see those lines again, but at $14.00 for 3 test that's a bit expensive :/ maybe when I get paid I'll do that. I too am not thinking about the money right now either, sounds scarey haha. In NZ you get so many free hours of Daycare which is good.

Marie - that would be considered expensive rent for where I live. I board with my family in our 4 bedroom house which cost $116 a week but us boarders only pay $60 a week for our rooms with food included. We have the smallest room in the house and I really want to do a themed nursery so we should be swapping rooms with one of the others living here :)

When my DH and I were renting an apartment in a not-so-great area of town last year it was costing us over $1000 dollars for a one bedroom place. We built our own house and moved in last June. Very glad we did that. Able to customize tons and we made sure the basement could have 2 bedrooms, bathroom, bonus living room and laundry so that can be the kids area once its finished. So we got a couple years yet to finish it. :D
