Ladies...I feel like crap. I think I had a mild case of food poisoning last night. I woke to throw up 3 times last night and had stomach cramps and achey back. Lack of sleep and I feel like poo. No work for me at least for the morning. I'm a bit concerned about the baby.

Ugghh Taren, so sorry you're so sick. what did you eat? Did you call the dr by chance? Wondering if the cramps and back ache could be from vomiting? hope you feel better quickly.

Oh my Liza, hope everything is ok from the storms. That's scary. We never really get tornadoes but we do get warnings and we just pack up our un-replaceables, grab the cats and head to the basement. Hope you're ok. Glad the appt went well. I can't comment on the HB but always heard high HB's could possibly be a girl. Not sure what is considered high :) that's a whole new world to me.

Lany, glad you go a little bit of helpful info. It's hard since there's only so much you can do. Hope you start to feel more like eating normally (as normal as you can being pg) again that that will all clear up. :) What fish do you eat? I'm honestly scared to eat anything. DH wants steak so bad and I'd normally eat fish, I'm just not sure what to eat. I google everything to see if it's "safe". But I normally love salads and can't even think about eating them right now.

Had my dating scan follow up today. Still due January 15 so thats great! He didnt have any pictures from the scan so I will just have to wait for my next one! At least then I will see alot more :) They are going to call me later today with a date for my nt scan... it was the triple screening bloodwork they do at 16 weeks. ANyone have this done before?? I am wondering if its worth doing or just better to do the nt scan and leave it at that. What do you ladies think?

Morning ladies,

Taren sorry to hear about the food poisoning.
It's horrible getting it while pg. glad to hear your follow up went well. They do out nt scan here at 13 weeks with blood work. I have to get the blood tests a week before the scan. They use the 2 results combined to get the risk factors for Down syndrome, tri 13 & 21 from memory. I couldn't have the nt scan without the bloods, it wasn't an option.

Danielle how are you today? I mainly eat tinned tuna and fresh cooked salmon. I mainly steer away from high mercury fish like any fish from a fish and chip shop and deep water fish.

Liza glad your appointment went well. It's always nerve racking those few moment before they find the heartbeat. I've had 3 scans now and at my last appointment my ob took a few moment to find the hb as bub is sitting so far back. I sighed that little sigh of relief when he found it. Sounds scary being in the middle if a tornado. Hope you everyone is safe.

Ola how are you going?

Afm my motion sickness is back in full force. Partly because the traffic has been so bad. A the bright side though I think I have felt some of the first flutters. I know it is still early and I haven't felt anything until 16-18 weeks previously. Sometimes I think no it's just gas but then there have been other times that I'm convinced are little flutters :) not big kicks but still exciting :)

Taren, glad you're feeling a little better and that your appt went well. Sorry I was Mia today and didn't wish you luck. :( but glad it went well. I don't know anything about the blood tests but have heard of what Lany mentioned, some women elect not to have them done if they have a choice.

Lany how is your eye? Motion Sickness back! Ugh but good to know the little beaner is getting all comfy. I hear ya though, I told DH to stop driving like he's alone in the car, makes me so nauseous and dizzy. Fx you're feeling the little bean and not gas :) very exciting!

Liza, how are you doing?

Ola, hope all is well!

Afm, I stayed home And slept most of the day. It was great but went too fast. My u/s is early tomorrow Am. Will be happy and praying that everything is progressing properly. Nausea is on and off all day, I cough a lot and gag constantly. Bbs are still super sore. Other than that, just some twinges on my right side every now and again. Off to go sleep some more!!

Hey girls, Happy Friday!!

How is everyone doing? Hope everyone is feeling well.

Just wanted to update real quick, had my 7 week u/s this am. The peanut is measuring right on schedule and dr said has a very strong heartbeat :hb: !!! Yay, PTL. So now I go back on the 18th, we'll be away on the 19th-22nd at the cabin so I have to go a little earlier than 2 weeks, and I perfectly fine with that, at that point they release me to my regular OB. I called the OB this am to inform them and they're working on scheduling me in for my first appointment once I'm released from my current dr on the 18th! Hoping they take me at 10 weeks so I'll have a u/s every week and a half for a little bit from now on!

Hope you all have a nice day and weekend!!

Danielle..woohoo on a great ultrasound again!! Thats awesome!! I cant wait to see my little bub again! Its like a month away.. UGH! But i think i will get to hear the heartbeat at my prenatal in two weeks! Thanks for the cleanser idea the tea green stuff I am using right now is actually working pretty awesome! Do you have any big plans for the weekend?

Lany... sorry about the eye!! Is there any kind of natural remedy you can use?? what if you added a bit of coconut oil to it.. or is that too close to the eye?? it is a natural anti-bacterial product! I am not going to do the 2nd trimester bloodwork I decided.. Just the nt scan with the bloodwork that goes with it. thats enough for me!! And I really honestly just want the scan to see my bub sooner than 16-20 weeks.. HAHAH DH is the one who wants to know the results. Hurray for feeling baby flutters!! omg that amazing I can not wait for that!

Hows EOE??

AFM.. i have been really nervous this week.. especially after having food poisoning. 8 weeks is when my first baby stopped growing.. but I didnt lose it till 2 weeks afterwards... so I just hope my symptoms stick around.. thats one thing that happened last time is that they didnt. Luckily my boobs are still sore and I still feel nauseous (although some of that is still food poisoning remnants) and I am tired, my face is getting a bit better and I am not complaining about that! They say even about now the placenta can slowly start to take over?? But its mixed reviews... soo.. just holding onto the symptoms I do have.. and once my body is back to normal from the sickness I should get a better feel. We are off to the cabin for the weekend! Have a great weekend ladies!

Oh my I thought I responded to this already. Lol. Yesterday I slept ALL day. Just couldn't bring myself to do anything from 10am on. I cleaned first thing, showered and then vegged.

Taren, hope you're having a nice time at the cabin. Are you feeling back to normal from the food poisoning? How are your sxs treating you? Glad the wash is working well for you!

Lany how are you feeling? How's your eye?

Liza and Ola, hope your both well!

Afm, I have nausea on and off all day. Gagging a ton but not vomiting. Bought a bunch of fruit today, it's one of the only things I don't turn a sour lip to. I read watermelon helps with ms so hoping it helps with nausea. I will be going to buy mugs for my dad and FIL this week that says #1 grandpa or something like that and Alex and ani bracelets for the moms that's says grandmother and we'll be giving to our parents this weekend! We will be asking them all to keep it quiet until the end of the first tri. Hoping they all follow our wishes.

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Not looking forward to getting up early tomorrow but it's the name of the game!!

Hi ladies,
Well it's been a busy weekend for me. I had the mother inlaw, sister inlaw and her 3 kids come to stay. To say I was busy is an understatement. It was nice though. Have been night time toilet training my eldest and have also been getting the room ready for the boys to start sharing. Phew!!

Afm I am feeling pretty good health wise. Haven't had any more flutters and have had a few moments of I hope everything is ok.....I just don't feel pregnant. I am not letting it get me down this time though. I've come to terms with the fact I am a little more protective of this pregnancy than the others so these phases are normal.

How is everyone else going? Any appointments coming up or new sxs??

Hope everyone is have a great weekend :)

Hi ladies! Sorry I've been somewhat MIA. It's been a busy week with lots of cleaning and projects.

Taren, sorry you got food poisoning.... yikes! Must have been terrible. I hope you're feeling much better.

Danielle, aww, those are fun ways to tell the gp. You just reminded me about watermelon. I haven't had some since the nausea started. Going to get some today.

Lany, sounds like this area going well. I'm glad you're in the just enjoying the pregnancy phase.

AFM, still dealing with MS.....booooo..... but, it's waves here and there throughout the day as opposed to all day. It is better and lets me know things are still progressing. I'm starting to get my energy back, definitely not where it was. I tire very quickly and get light headed pretty easily. Many next appointment is tomorrow, will talk to the doc about that. My goal/ focus is to get the house looking decent again so when the kiddos get out on summer break, we can focus on fun!
Hope everyone has a great Monday. Off to cleaning I go!

Hey Ladies!!

Lany, sounds like you had a crazy busy weekend!! More power to ya! I'd probably have to call out today if I had that type of weekend. LOL Glad you're feeling better! How's work? any changes yet or was that in July? Days and weeks are starting to blend. I can't believe it's been almost a mth since I found out I was pg. It still doesn't seem real.

Ola, great to hear from you! totally get the wanting to get the house in shape so you can focus on summer vacation with the kids! GL at your appt tomorrow! Let us know how it goes! will you get pics? Glad the ms has let up some!

Taren, how are you feeling? How was the cabin?

afm, just pretty much the same, no vomiting but nausea on and off all day, I have to say the watermelon did help so that was my breakfast, still soup for lunch. Gagging, sore bbs and a pinching feeling in my right side off and on, not severe. It comes and goes still. I'm glad though, I do get a little nervous when I'm not feeling something :) I made my appt with my regular OB and will go in for my first prenatal on 6/26! So happy I get another u/s next Wednesday and then that appt the following Thursday. Getting exciting. Can't wait to tell our families this weekend. My mom keeps asking when I go see the infertility dr again for our next step and my sister keeps texting me asking how I'm feeling. She went to the same specialist so she knows what the process is with them and she must think I'm in my TWW... Eek, if they only knew.

Oh so cute Danielle. Your little bean has definitely been busy growing in there. I'm glad you are somewhat well :) how exciting!!! Not long til you tell the family. Be sure to let us know how it all goes. I bet they will be so excited :)

Ola great to hear from you. Glad to hear you ms has let up some. Good luck at your appointment today. Is this a us appointment or just a regular one? I spent the whole weekend cleaning up after everyone and doing loads and loads of washing. It was exhausting!! The kids all had fun though.

Liza hope all is well with you.

Taren how was the cabin. Take anymore photos?

Afm just inly way to work. No changes in structure yet. We aren't expecting it til July but my boss was in Melbourne the tail end of last week so who knows. I'm at a point though where I just need to bite the bullet and tell him. I need approval to order maternity uniforms lol. I can't do my work pants up anymore :)
This baby still feels like it is sitting really low. Maybe it's trying to protect itself from my 2 ratbag boys who all of a sudden think I am a climbing gym :)
