Are you still eating a lot of pineapple Nicole? I've read that that can cause loose stools... I hear ya though, I was woken up by some pretty strong cramps last night too but they tapered off quickly :/

Alpaca, I'm still holding out hope that baby girl turns for you! If not, then you just have to make the decision that you and dh are most comfortable with. Have faith in your body,it can do this.

Hang in there ladies!

Lucky- yeah PLEASE don't fall lol I was hoping to wake up with news of your little one popping up as well. Hopefully it won't be long now!

lauren- no i stopped eating it Friday actually, Thursday was my last day because I kept getting acid reflux that not even zanatc could cure lol. I ate normally all Friday, I'm a picky eater during pregnancy because I'm scared of heartburn. Today no loose stool thankfully but damn, the back pain hit me like six times when I was doing the dishes and I actually had to stop and breath through the sharpness. Never had that with my first pregnancy but then again I was induced.

Lucky - Hope things start to pick up again soon!

Nicole - It sucks that your contractions/loose BM have eased but enjoy the rest, it might just be your last quiet time before the storm! I giggled when you mentioned wanting to throw things at your DH, we've had a screaming match over something really stupid yesterday; I put his work bag on a dining chair when I was tidying, and he said I put it on the dining table and it's unhygienic, he was so convinced I did it and I was really annoyed and felt like I was going crazy (the forgetfulness keeps getting worse... I'm literally losing my marbles). Turns out it was my mum who moved it... But yea, it still didn't warrant the amount of yelling at each other we did for something so little and insignificant! Preggo hormones are ruling my life right now!

Lauren - I've been trying to remain hopeful that she will turn. That was until literally just now. I was doing some research on the ECV as I might get one (provided they think it's safe/I have enough fluid), and I decided to fine the national doctor's guidelines as I got frustrated of reading the vague info they give pregnant women. In the guidelines I found, they say that only 8% of babies for nulliparous women (aka FTMs like me) turn spontaneously after 36 weeks. That's not a very reassuring number. Everyone has been telling me "she'll turn" or "I know someone whose baby turned", and I've been trying to keep believing it might happen. But seeing the number in black and white has sobered me.

The thing is I think she wants to move! She is going from breech to transverse several times a day and she has for I don't even know how many days now. On spinning babies they say it's a sign the baby is trying to move head down. But I feel like she somehow can't... I'm getting really emotional about all this. Last night I was crying like an idiot because I feel like if I have a c-section I'll be a big failure because everyone in my family has had natural, drug-free births.

alpaca- awww I can only imagine how you feel. Best thing I can say is try really hard not to think about it or stress yourself out, i know its easier said than done though. I am so hoping that baby girl turns for you soon, hopefully midwife suggests some techniques for you to try. Acupuncture though pricey works most of the time so maybe you guys can invest in that?

I had a membrane stretch and sweep today at lik 10:15 by my doctor. But seeing as it didn't work with my first pregnancy until they gave me the actual drugs, my doctor isn't too optimistic about it working now. So we'll see, anyway I have an induction date anyway. If baby doesn't come before next Thursday they are inducing me.
Please send me good thoughts i SO don't want to be induced beyond the membrane sweep lol

Nicole - Really hope the sweep works! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
There is no evidence scientifically speaking that moxibustion/acupuncture works (not that that means anything). I was interested in trying it but couldn't find anyone good locally. Definitely going to try anything if the ECV tomorrow doesn't work/it turns out I can't do it.

I had a gush of fluid/damp underwear today. I don't know what to think. It wasn't a huge amount, just enough to dampen my underwear, but considering how little fluid I have (1 pocket of 2 cm as of this morning's scan), I'm not sure I'll be able to tell when/if my water breaks...

alpaca- thanks! I hope i get somewhere with this sweep within the next few days lol...i hope you get the ECV tomorrow i read your post in the march forum but haven't responded there yet. Is there any chance your body can create more fluid or is that not a thing? I hope it works for you tomorrow and she starts to slowly get in place!

Nicole, hopefully the stretch and sweep gets things moving for you! Just bc it didn't work last time, doesnt mean it won't this time around, especially bc your not a ftm I would think.

Alpaca, let us know how it goes tomorrow, I'm praying it works or that at least you get a lot of great info from yhe guy so you can make a confident descion on how to move forward...I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a home birth for you ( partly so I can live vicariously through you ;) jk)

Nicole - You're definitely right, fluid is kind of a dynamic thing, as it's basically a sort of "recycling system", like baby ingests it/gets some through the placenta and then pees it (if I understand correctly, I'm not sure). I thought I had done a good job getting my fluid up from 32 to 34 weeks between those ultrasounds but I think it gets harder as pregnancy goes on. I'm definitely trying to drink a lot in case it might help.

Lauren - I'm still keeping a tiny bit of hope for that home birth, who knows! My midwife is also waiting anxiously to find out what's up, she's calling tomorrow to check if the ECV worked.

I'm so exhausted and at the same time feeling way too excited, I have no idea how I'm going to sleep...

How does Your midwife feel about delivering a breech baby? I think that fluid levels naturally start decreasing at this stage of pregnancy too so I'm sure that doesn't help the situation any. But I'd be drinking the fluids like a fish in case it helps. Fx alpaca! I know how badly you want to avoid a csec and I'm really hoping that that's the case hun!

Even if the midwife felt good about it, our local trust (the health authority that regulates all maternal care/births in my area of England) only agrees to do planned vaginal deliveries at the big regional hospital (the one I'm going to tomorrow for the ECV/to see the breech specialist). So they might do breech births at home and in my local hospital in an emergency (as in, they didn't know baby was breech), but in my case if I want to try and deliver vaginally knowing she's breech, I need to be where the big guns are, so to speak. The other midwife I saw last appointment (not my own as she was off with the flu) told me this, and she was clearly unhappy about it, she says they're experienced enough here and it's a stupid policy, but there you go...

In a way I kinda agree with the policy even if it's mighty inconvenient for us (50 min to that hospital vs 5 min to our local!). If we were going to attempt a natural breech delivery, I'd wanna be in the bigger hospital where there are more people/more expertise, and where the national specialist in breech babies is. It kinda makes sense. A home breech delivery sounds badass, and I've seen beautiful videos on youtube, but being a FTM, I don't feel that confident.

Alright I'm off to down way more water and then to sleep! Hope you guys have a nice afternoon/evening.
