awww you guys are almost there though! Soon you'll be at 39 weeks and suffering like I am haha!

Alpaca- don't worry I get the whole belly feeling like a zillion pounds thing, pretty sure now we can ALL relate. It just sucks. Majorly. You can't walk long, you have to be careful when you sit up and get up because it can give you a cramp or contraction...it just sucks the last few weeks lol. And at 37 weeks I had the energy too during the day, then at night everything bad hit. Now its all day. Hopefully you get to avoid that!

lauren- omgosh your 38 weeks already! Time flew by eh? Your little one will be here soon too

Yeah and I never did change my ticker lol, my due date is actually the 20th instaed of the 23rd, not that it matters really especially a 3 day difference...baby will come when he wants not on any 'due date' lol. I'm actually hoping he comes any day BUT his due date bc that's my youngest' 2nd birthday. We are celebrating her bday next Saturday instead just in case. I would feel so bad if I was in the hospital and missed her bday, luckily she's too young to know we are celebrating a week early lol. I don't want them to have to share a birthday, I really want them each to have their own special day ya know.... anyways, Nicole, I really hope things kick into high gear for you in the next day or so, I've got everything crossed for ya!!

Oh lauren I hope your baby does come on another day than your dd3's bday. It's not fun sharing. Definitely a good call doing her bday celebration this weekend just in case! I'm starting to feel more and more like you and I will be the last ones standing haha. People are going to slowly disappear!
Nicole - Yea lots of energy during the day and then it hits really hard at night is pretty much what it's been like for me recently. I'm so confused as I was so exhausted before, but I'm trying to take advantage of this renewed energy to get the last few things done.

Today, my friend from birth class had her VBB! So exciting and encouraging. She didn't give any details but seems like it went well and it gives me hope. Her baby was tiddly (5lbs14oz) so I don't know if that played a part in it being successful, but still, it shows it can be done, and further reassures me that this hospital is the place to do it. Still doing the ECV tomorrow afternoon (and the poor community midwife called me today to ask again, and I couldn't give her a solid answer on home birth or not... still keeping a tiny little bit of hope going) but feeling even more positive about a possible VBB.
I had a horrible pain under my right rib and in my right shoulder this morning and kinda had a freakout as it can be a sign of pre-e, but it thankfully ended up subsiding after a few hours. Also hating the really painful stretchmark that started developing on my belly ring scar. Don't know why but baby is putting all her weight onto my belly button right now, as if she could escape from there... This child is clearly confused!

Yay I'm so excited that you're going to try for the vbb!! That's really encouraging that the girl from your class just had a successful one! Hopefully they are able to turn her tomorrow but if not at least you have another great option alpaca! I hear ya on baby trying to escape through the belly button, mine is attempting the same thing, either there or through my butt lol. His movements are so strong and quite painful at times now, none of my dds' movements were ever painful lkke this little guy which scares me bc dd2 was Sooo strong as a newborn, I can't imagine how strong this lo is going to be!

Alpaca- so happy that you'll be trying for VBB! I hope she turns for you, crossing my fingers that she does. What a load off your shoulder if she does eh?

That is so cute Nicole! Very touching!
Lauren - Sounds like you're growing a little Hulk in there lol.

Rough night again, an hour of contractions between 2 and 3am. Every 5 minutes and some rather painful. I have a bad feeling this is gonna be the next couple weeks for me. Ugh.
Quite excited about the ECV this afternoon. Turn baby turn!

Nicole I had a dream about you last night. You were finally going into active labor! I'm not even kidding, which is pretty weird to have a dream about some one I have never actually met in real life lol but anyways.... are you in labor yet??

alpaca- let us know how it goes!!!

lauren- did you?! That gives me hope! I'm not in active labor yet, but am losing more and more of my mucus plug and again having loose bowels, lower back ache is now constant and painful. Contractions have kind of died down (hurts to stand up every time though) but i'm going to finish the aloe vera juice in a bit since it worked at bringing on strong contractions. I really hope your dream predicted my future today! Thursday/Friday i may get induced so I am really praying to the Gods everywhere I get somewhere today or tomorrow!!

Nicole - So exciting that you're getting so close! And good to know about the aloe vera! I'm really hoping for you your BP cooperates and you get to avoid the induction.

Lauren - It's funny you dreamt about Nicole going into active labour, I dreamt about american going into labour last week and she gave birth today. It's funny how our subconscious are concerned about other women's labour/babies!

So the ECV failed. Oh well. I thought it was worth trying! Bye bye home birth, hello VBB. The doctor asked me if I was comfortable having extra people watch (since that's how they train people in VBB). He cracked a joke about how I'll be on all fours anyways so I won't be able to see them... I feel a bit like my ideal of a small intimate home birth turned into this big circus where loads of people are going to be present. Apparently there are always two pediatricians present for VBBS as breech babies tend to come out "stunned" and need a bit of help getting going. It's all so encouraging... I mean I know it's safe, they're very experienced, people travel from all around the country to have their VBBs there. But it's still daunting. The specialist stressed again how they don't do epidurals or pitocin, and the birth has to go textbook perfect or they will give me a c-section. It feels like a weird pressure to perform, you know what I mean? But hey I have to believe my body can do this...

Oh and Leo's problems are back, so he's spending the day at the vet tomorrow getting scans and doing urine tests (including one with a catheter... my poor little baby). I better not go into labour before he's done with his ordeal. And we still haven't gotten our water heater fixed (thank god for electric showers and using the kettle to do the dishes). And our flat is a mess again. This baby better stay in a little while longer because we are so not ready.

Alpaca if you don't feel comfortable with the other training doctors in the room jist speak up and tell the doc that, it's your birth and if you don't want to 'put on a show' for everyone then you don't have to.

alpaca- yeah i read your post about the failed ECV. I really thought it would work this time around. Anyway the good thing is that it sounds like you are at a great hospital for VBBs so that's reassuring. I am sad that you won't get the home birth you wanted but hey, maybe if you guys get pregnant again it will work out for you? ....ohhh your poor pup! Let us know how it goes for him tomorrow, poor guy....also yeah Lauren's right, you can tell your doc you aren't comfortable with so much people in the room with you guys.

Sorry it has taken me so long on the updates.. Jasmine Lorraine was born February 26th at 11:20pm 7#s 11oz,21 inches long.. I went in to be induced at 6am on the 26th,when i got there they started me on pitocin and penicillin for the GBS.. they broke my water at noon and I got the epidural and Foley catheter at
1 o'clock.. I started pushing around 10:30pm right after the first push i puked about 3 times, and after the second push i felt like my head was going to split open so they gave me oxygen.. she was born very alert and has been a good baby..I had some complications from the catheter, i got a bladder infection and was and still am peeing blood.. the first week it felt like i was peeing razor blades, i got put on an antibiotic that didn't work.. I'm now on my second type of meds and they seem to be working ok..
