Could this POAS progression mean multiples?!

Postby MamaBird912 » Wed Nov 25, 2015 10:25 am

I'm only 14 or 15dpo. I got my first bfp around 9dpo. My aunts are twins and my DH aunt had twins but lost them. I feel like my lines are super dark! The second from the bottom was taken yesterday with super diluted urine on less than a 2 hr hold..

It's hard to tell with dark lines or even HCG levels that you could be expecting twins. Your best bet is with an ultrasound. I can tell you that in my experience, my lines at 16 DPO were very dark and came up immediately and I found out at 6 weeks I was expecting twins. I didn't test earlier than that because we weren't trying that month and I never expected to be pregnant. I only had my HCG levels tested once just to confirm pregnancy and they were 1700 at 18 DPO. I didn't know there were twins in my family but came to find out that my great aunts were twins and I had fraternal twins.

I know its not conclusive, I was just curious if anyone else had a similar experience and ended up with twins. I don't know when I'll get an ultrasound.. I'd love an early scan, but I've been told I may not get one at all until 20 weeks for the gender scan unless the doc deems it necessary. Which is highly upsetting.. I'm 5+4 right now, first prenatal appt is on Dec 22 at my 8 week mark

Hopefully you can get a scan before 20 weeks. I only had such an early one because I was seeing a fertility specialist but I also had one at 11 weeks to confirm with my new OB. A lot of women I know were able to get a scan at 12 weeks. I actually don't know many that had to wait until 20 weeks but I know it's different depending on doctor and other circumstances.

I had an early scan with my son. I will never forget it... The baby appeared on the screen right away and I heard my husband gasp from behind me as he started to cry.. It was beautiful. Hoping I can convince the doc to allow it this time as well.

I have been wondering the same. I got a light positive at 8 dpi and a solid positive even with clear blue digital at 8 dpo. I'm still testing once a week until our appointment next week. And my test will show up dark positive even before the control line shows (I'm 6weeks right now). For some reason I just have this feeling it could mean twins. I have an ultra sound December 7. I'll keep you posted. Let me know if and when you find out too!
