I think we should start a group for all of us girls that are currentlt preggo.

Melissa- Congrats on your twin girls! Are the identical? How have you been feeling?

JLC- Congrats on you twins too. So you are about 13 weeks then? How are you feeling? The first 16-17 weeks for me was awful. I've never been so sick in my life. Thank God it went away.. lol

I'll do a little introduction.. lol My name is Amy, there is another Amy who is PG with twins boys.. I'm Amy S. :D I live in Southern California but DH and I are in the process of moving to Las Vegas. We are currently living with my mom which is interesting to say the least. Everything else is in my siggy.. I think anyway

So here' s a little lesson that I learned on Wednesday. I wasn't feel too good when I woke up that morning so I decided to call my OB. I was having some cramping and something just didn't feel right to me :? My OB wanted me to come in 3 hours later to have an U/S. I called at 11am and they wanted me to wait until 2pm. Why they would make me wait when I'm high risk is unknown to me. Long story short they ended up sending me to L&D. Turns out I was having mild contractions 8O The reason..... I was dehydrated. So after 3 bags of IV fluids and procardia and 8 hours in the hospital they were able to stop them. So make sure you all drink ALOT of water. The dr said I need to flood myself daily. I will tell you it's so hard to drink so much water. If I drink all the water they want me to then I have no room for food in my tummy :? So looks like I'll be drinking more water and eating less :(

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Amy - I am so glad you were finally able to register. I had heard people were getting notifications again. I did not know you were moving to LV.

I am pg with twin boys. I will be 21 weeks tomorrow. I am also Amy, so you can call me Amy R. Since Amy's dehydration incident, I have increased my water. It seems to increase my heartburn. Anybody else notice that?

Oh I remember getting horrible heart burn from just water! Not fun!!

Congrats again Amy S., and to all the other twin preggos! You are all doing great! I gotta say, I'm a little jealous of you all. As much hard work and stress I know twins pregnancies are, I miss have 2 little bundles in there...feels so lonely with just one this time!

I'm also pregnant with twins :-) I'm still pretty early at just a little over 9 weeks!! Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

I feel lucky as I was getting horrible morning sickness up until last week. Then it suddenly got much better. No heartburn yet!

I'm still here! Just exhausted and huge... lol.

32 weeks pregnant with girl/girl twins. Just 5 more weeks until my c-section date, thank goodness! Having some issues with my cervix being short again, so taking it really easy and resting a lot. MIL is coming down to stay with us in a week to help out with my DS and around the house. Looking forward to that! I'm having weekly ultrasounds to do BPPs and the girls have done great and passed them all. Still on a 4 week schedule for growth scans and my next one is this Wednesday - I can't wait to see how big my girls are now!!! :)

I am 24 weeks and three days pregnant with boy twins. Have just started to get really uncomfortable! Thanks for the heads up on the dehydration! Totally agree that it is harder to eat when you drink so much. And yes. water is giving me terrible heartburn. Just went onto prilosec instead of tums a few days ago and am feeling much better on that. I feel for all you morning sickness girls....i'd take heartburn any day over that! Mine was gone by 13 weeks.

Am starting to get a bit nervous about going from one to three! My DS is 3 and a half and has been sick all week which makes the fear a bit worse. Can only imagine how it feels when you know your c-section is a few weeks away!

Katieq--I'm nervous too about going from one to three. Although I still have plenty of time to get used to the idea. My son will be 2 in May. The concept of going from a family of three to five is crazy!! Did you have to buy a bigger vehicle?

I'm nervous about going from 1 to 3 as well! My DS is 2.5 and will be 3 in late July when the girls are about 3 months old. I'll be glad when I can do more with him again. It's been rough not being able to do as much with him while pregnant, I feel like I'm missing out especially now while on partial bed rest.

We did have to get a bigger vehicle to accommodate all 3 car seats. We got a minivan - a Toyota Sienna.

Reading this preggo thread made me realize something - I think I'm next up to have my twins!! Holy crap! Lol I can't believe D day is only 5 weeks away! I'm getting excited and nervous. Definitely ready to not be preggo any more but very much wanting to keep these girls cooking as long as I can! Almost there!

Just thought I would share: I went from one to three (my DS1 was 18 months old when the twins arrived) and I too was a bit terrified. It was very hard to wrap my head around the concept that we had just become a family of 5 and I was mommy to 3 kiddos! We did have to get a larger vehicle as we both had sedans and the carseats just wouldn't fit. I must say, getting our mini-van (tho I fought it tooth and nail) was the best decision we ever made. We can fit the 5 of us, plus 2 extras if needed, and all our gear very comfortably :) It's definitely a shock at first, and alot of hard work, but so much fun and worth it.
