Both were 5lbs 12oz and they were in the NICU for 14 days exactly, they came home the same day ;) Frankly Willow didn't really need more than 2-3 days in the NICU, but true to herself she decided she wouldn't eat and wasn't coming home until her brother could. Wes had a pneumothorax and breathing issues so he had a rough start but as soon as that resolved he was home. he ate (and still does) like a champ!

Had you had steroids for their lungs at any point? What were your complications??

Nope, after 34 weeks the steroid shot is useless. So we did an amnio and decided to deliver.

I was in active labor for a week, so PTL, that they had been trying to hold off with meds to no avail.

Unfortunately I think Wes was a victim of Wimpy White Boy Syndrome ;) LOL!

Wimpy White Boy! I had two of those, SO annoying. Our neonatologist actually threw his arms up in the air and said "White boys!" once when he got an update on E&B learning to bottle feed (it was not going well, heh).

Good luck today JJ!! I can't wait to hear about those little guys!!
