Are these normal feelings??

Postby babyluv51 » Mon Apr 15, 2013 6:17 am

I'm 23 weeks now and just feel so big and uncomfortable. I have another appt wed but think I'm measuring around 30-32 weeks fundal height. Anyways, if I do any walking or going up stairs or picking up my 22 month old or vacuuming or pretty much anything other than sitting it makes my uterus contract very uncomfortably and I constantly feel Like something is going to fall out of me especially when I cough or sneeze. Did anyone else feel like this so early? HOw in the world will I make it 3 plus more months?? I have sciatic nerve pain which kills me too!!

I started feeling lousy around 19 weeks, but really remember it worsening around 25-28 weeks. The end is pretty miserable, there's just no getting around it. I don't like to dwell on it and scare MOMs that are preggo, but the end SUCKS!

Right there with you! Some days are definitely better than others but yeah, no denying that I'm starting to get uncomfortable already. Lots of weirdo symptoms (like crazy heart palpitations today) and I'm always out of breath or feel tired. I get Braxton hicks constantly too. Just trying to take it one day at a time! Hang in there!

I'm right there with you too mama. I'm on a definite downhill slide these days into the 3rd tri. I'm only out of bed or off the couch actually functioning for about 4 hrs a day now. I was getting contractions a lot but the doc insisted I drink a gallon of water a day and sure enough they've been better. I get bad heart palpatations/racing heart sensation and difficulty breathing if I do anything on my feet for more than a few minutes. So I think, everything you are feeling is normal. But don't be afraid to call your doc if you're concerned. They'll check it out and ease your mind if nothing else.

Oh ladies, I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable. Robin is right, the end SUCKS, but know that almost all of it improves the second you give birth! There is an end in sight. Take good care of yourself, get plenty of rest, but also do as much as you can to stay up and about. I'm still regaining my strength having been pretty much bedridden at the end and I can really feel it now. Take care and hang in there!

What you are feeling sounds about right. Like the others have said there is no other way to put it other than the end just sucks. I went on modified bedrest at 31 weeks and that was my saving grace! Hang in there. I promise you will soon forget all about this when you are holding those precious babies. You can vent about how you feel as much as you want though as we all have been there and can sypmathize.

Yes! I wanted to second this because at the end I really felt like no one understood what I was feeling other than the other MOMs. Unless you've walked in those shoes, it's so hard to understand how hard it is.

Thanks girls! I had an appt yesterday and because of all the pressure she checked me and said my cervix was really soft so I had to come back today for a fetal fibronectin test. Hopefully I'll have results in a couple hours

Ffn test was negative!!! Monday I was having so many contractions I went in and was closed and had a length of 3.8 on ultrasound. So that makes me feel good. If I rest I don't have as many but they've told me to cont normal activity because they don't seem to be changing my cervix. This is going to be a loooong few months!
