Just need you opinion!
My hubby and I went through our first ivf in April and was successful with a first beta of 622 at 12dp5dt on May 5th. We transfered 2 good looking (4aa or ab) blasts and had our first u/s yesterday at 7w4d (I think) and it showed twins. However, baby A was measuring perfect with a hb of 161 and baby B was about a week or so behind with no hb.
I'm alright with this outcome, as I am pregnant with one, but I was wondering if there were any of you who had babies measuring off with only one heartbeat to have that second baby come back, or is it more likely a baby that stopped growing (like my dr has advised) and wil vanish?
All comments or stories welcome and thank you.

I did IVF as well and although my twins always measured pretty much the same, I did have a friend in my IVF buddy group who had a vanishing twin right around 7/8 weeks. She had had and earlier scan at 6 weeks where they heard both heartbeats but by 7/8 weeks one had stopped growing and had no heartbeat. She is now 31 weeks with a little girl and doing great! I know it can be very common but still very difficult for the parents. I would've been really upset if it had happened to me. I hope you get a nice surprise at your next u/s and baby B has grown and caught up. Either way, congratulations on your pregnancy!!

I don't have any advice or experience with vanishing twins, though I think it is pretty common (sadly). I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on your pregnancy.

Unfortunately my only experience with measuring behind did not work out. Once I had a heartbeat (singleton) at 8 weeks but only measuring 7 weeks, and at my next appointment at 10 weeks there was no heartbeat.
However, congratulations on your new pregnancy for the one who is looking good!!

My experience with one baby measuring behind did not turn out so well either. I did IUI and initally found out I was pregnant with triplets. My first u/s was at 6w4d. 2 babies were measuring pretty close together with great heartbeats and a 3rd measuring a week behind. That one did have a heartbeat too but it was much slower than the other 2. The RE warned us that the 3rd baby might not make it and advised us not to tell anyone about it right away. 2 weeks later I went back and the 3rd baby did stop growing and its heartbeat stopped. I do still have 2 healthy babies now.
In cases like mine, it could have gone either way. Honestly it's not a good sign that Baby B didn't have a heartbeat by 7w4d. I'm sorry you're having to deal with a loss but congrats on your pregnancy! I hope your Baby A continues to grow and thrive. I've always thought of my lost triplet as a guardian angel watching over my girls.

Thank you for all your comments, it means a lot to me.
Just wanted to come on and say that the second baby is almost completely absorbed now, but the other baby is perfect.
