Twins? 2 yolk sacs, 1 gestational sac?

Postby thirdtimemom210 » Wed Dec 18, 2013 3:56 am

This ultrasound was taken at 5+3 weeks. Does this mean twins? And if so, what kind of twins? I have a repeat sonogram scheduled for the day after Christmas. I will be 8 weeks then. Thanks!

its still really early but if there are two yolk sacs and only one gestational sac, that is a monochoriontic pregnancy, meaning identical twins. at a later ultrasound, they should be able to determine if they share an amniotic sac.

GOOD LUCK!
