extreme fatigue

Postby PreggersPatty » Thu Feb 27, 2014 1:00 pm

Hello Ladies
I'm 15w4d with twin boys.I also have a 16month old DS and am beyond exhausted. I just had bldwk done and I'm not anemic. I feel so guilty BC I've become a super lame mom to DS but most days I can only get the house in order and maybe one errand before I'm totally useless. Does this ever let up? I know I know...just wait until they're here. I'm just hoping I'm not just a wimp and others felt/feel the same. I was not nearly this tired with DS.

Only speaking from my experience, but unfortunately it only gets worse. I know not what you wanted to hear. It also is the combination of having a toddler to chase after. Don't feel guilty although easier said than done. I remember bawling out of nowhere because i was so exhausted when I was pregnant and my twins were your sons age. I too felt so guilty. My poor dh didn't know what to do lol. Hang in there. Recruit help and just rest as much as possible. I honestly thought it was much better after because at least I had two amazing faces to look at while being exhausted!

I have never been as tired as I was the first 15 or so weeks of my pregnancy (not even with newborns!). It got better for a couple weeks, literally like two or three weeks of feeling good, then second tri uncomfortable set in! Twin pregnancy is HARD! I was on the couch asleep or almost asleep by 2pm everyday (thankfully I worked part time just in the mornings while I was PG).

Give yourself a break though, you're growing TWO PEOPLE! Congratulations!!!

Thanks ladies! I'm glad to know I'm not alone and its 'normal'. Although I'm pretty sure there is nothing normal about making two people at once :)

Twin pregnancy is rough. The tiredness unfortunately comes back toward the end. Things started getting really hard at 28 weeks. I remember coming home from work and taking naps every day. I was exhausted. I'm a little glad my twins were my first pregnancy because I probably would have been a terrible mom while I was pregnant. Hang in there hon, twin pregnancy is rough!
