Twins or Molar?

Postby ItsAKeeper » Mon Oct 17, 2016 8:40 pm

Super scared this is a molar pregnancy or twins. Previous super early miscarriage. Can someone with some experience give me a word of wisdom please? What do you see with these numbers?

I see good doubling rates. I have seen much lower numbers than yours turn out to be twins, and much higher numbers turn out singleton. My good friend, who now has 12 mo old identical twin girls, her 20dpo betas were around 1500. Another friend had 20dpo betas similar to yours and it was a singleton. Sure it's possible you have twins baking because of the high numbers, but you can't tell based on that alone.

Are you having any pain? That's usually an indication of a molar pregnancy, the pain is excruciating from what I have been told. Have your doctor check you out thoroughly to make sure your tubes are clear.

You won't know until your ultrasound! Until then, just try and enjoy the fact that you are most definitely pregnant. :)

Thanks for responding. I have an ultrasound on Friday. I am having some light pressure/cramping periodically but nothing unbearable. Reading about Molar pregnancies is pretty scary and with me... if it can happen... it usually does.

Thanks again.

Congratulations on your twin pregnancy! I am a twin mom with almost 1 year old twins. I remember twin moms telling me that it's a blessing and I always doubted it while pregnant and especially during the first 10 weeks when I never slept but it's a billion percent true! We've had a great year even with the stress and lack of sleep! Good luck and good vibes for a smooth pregnancy!
