Anybody with endo pregnant after recurrent early losses?

Postby Linds0412 » Thu Oct 15, 2009 6:18 am

My best friend has endo and is currently ttc her first. She has it pretty bad .. lots of cysts, pain, had a few surgeries .. etc. She and her dh have been ttc since May of this year. She ended up getting pregnant back in August without knowing it .. no positive OPK, lots of symptoms but kept getting negative tests. When her AF was 10 days late she woke up in the middle of the night bleeding heavily with lots of clots. She went to the ER and they did bloodwork and told her she'd had an early miscarriage. She started using the OPK's a few weeks later and got her first ever positive which gave her hope and she was so excited about. As of yesterday she was three days late, lots of symptoms again but negative test. Well last night she woke up to heavy bleeding and clotting again. Looks like she's had another early miscarriage.
So I'm just wondering if any of you on here have Endo and may have had a similar experience?? Any input would be so great.
Thank you :)

I guess I fit this category except for the massive blood loss. I was diagnosed with endo 8 years ago after my son was born. My RE suspected I had it but I got pregnant before we could do the lap. Two years post delivery, my tubes were blocked from endo. We jumped to IVF which was my first chemical (that I know of). Then on to the lap which took one tube but the other was repairable. Then I quit TTC. I gave up. 5 years later, surprise BFP out of nowhere. That ended in m/c at 8 weeks. We started on the TTC journey again. My second chemical came 6 months later on a natural cycle. Several rounds of drugs and IUIs got nothing. We gave up on the drugs and TTC on our own. Another year later, another BFP (Feb. 2009), another m/c at 8 weeks. We gave up again. I didn't want to do this anymore. Another surprise BFP in Sept. 2009. So this is my 6th pregnancy and hoping to be the second successful one. I'm going into the 8 week scary part this week. One difference so far is that at 7 weeks we knew there were complications with the other two. So far everything looks good this time.

I know it is extremely difficult to go through another m/c. Each is devistating in it's own way. I don't think I will ever be comfortable with this pregnancy. The losses will always be right there in the back of my mind. I wish both of you the best of luck.

I had an ectopic pregnancy and an early miscarriage before getting pregnant with my little guy. I got pregnant the month after I had a laparoscopy to remove endo. :) HTH

WishN4baby2 Good luck with this pregnancy .. I wish you all the best for a sticky little one :)

victoria_1024 She had a laparoscopy done a few years ago but maybe I'll tell her to see if her doctor recommends having it done again. She's been on hormonal therapy and all that but was told her tubes were fine.

Thanks to both of you :)
