oh hope... I think the longest mine have ever been positive was 3 weeks post miscarriage, and that was when I was 12 weeks. I think its pretty normal for hcg to stay in the system for a month or more after a birth.. you might want to ask your doctor to be sure .

your opk will be positive cause opks can detect hcg, but not the other way araound :(

I assume your OB didn't follow your hcg back to zero, right? I'm 4 weeks post delivery, and my HCG was 6 on friday. I know it can take a while though. I'm so sorry for your loss.

i too am sorry to you both..xxx

no they didnt, i had a natural delivery followed by a curet/D&C directly after delivery as i was heomoraging from a clot on my cervis from the placenta left behind.

i honestly thought because they did that I was safe. i wanted to take it because i wanted to see 1 line, in order to start to move one..

no, i ended up with dr's 3 hours away as my OB's locally were idiots and i nearly died in the weeks leading up to delivering marley, long story.. anyway, they were more concerned that i got back to health..

what a kick in the teeth..:(

Gosh that's scary about the hemorrhaging and about what you went through prior to delivery. I almost ended up with a D and C as well. My placenta wouldn't separate, and my OB had to manually extract it. So, I'm still bleeding from that. I would call your OB on monday and ask how long it should take for the HCG to be gone. They might want to do bloodwork just to make sure the numbers are falling. They should be pretty close to negative by now, I'd think, since mine are so low and we are a week apart. I hope you get some answers. It's such a constant reminder of what we have lost when our bodies don't return to "normal". I'm struggling with that too. :hugs:

Hope I think you just need to bite the bullet and get some serial testing done - that way it will be easy to see if your HCG is increasing (doubling). or decreasing. Probably better for you than this worry about whether pee sticks are darker or lighter. (I have my fingers crossed for you though)
