Stopping Vit. C (xpost from first tri)

Postby NinaBear » Fri Mar 19, 2010 7:21 pm

I've been taking extra B6 and Vitamin C along with my prenatal, but I think the Vitamin C might be causing some of my nausea.

Does anyone know if I might cause a miscarriage by stopping the Vitamin C at this point? I read somewhere that stopping the B6 once you get pregnant can cause a miscarriage if you have LPD, which I had before getting pg so I'm definitely going to continue taking the B6...but I was wondering if anyone read the same for Vit. C as I was taking that to help lengthen luteal phase as well.

TIA!

I took B6 with my last pregnancy and stopped it at almost 7 weeks i believe. All went just fine. I was worried about taking to much B6. Since there was a nice size dose already in my prenatal. I worried what taking too much may do? I worried about causing a birth defect(always something we worry about)There is vit C in your prenatal so stopping it will be fine. We all get these wierd things in our head that if we do this & that will lead to MC. So wierd isn't it!? I did the same thing. I never read anything about MC stopping B6 and I scoured the net. I just had a feeling that I needed to still take it for a little while longer. You will be just fine stopping the vit C. Call your OB to verify if you need too :D

Even without considering the harmful side effects of massive antibiotic therapy, we can look at the futility of all those repeated doses. Antibiotics are either going to work with the first or second round, or they are not going to work at all, period. There is no point in emptying twelve water fire extinguishers on an electrical fire. More of the wrong thing is just more wrong.
