Pregnant after 2 chemicals and I'm nervous!

Postby mrsh03 » Fri Jan 27, 2012 1:15 pm

I had a chemical that ended at 19DPO (spotting at 19DPO and saw red on 20DPO, beta of 11) in September and a chemical that ended at 18DPO (beta 8) last month and I'm pregnant again, 17DPO today, and I'm so so so nervous. My betas are great, 1st beta at 13DPO was 193 and 1nd beta at 15DPO was 425, but I'm still scared. I stopped temping and stopped testing at 15DPO, but I think I want to start again. I had a nice dark line w/ my first chemical, just like this one, so I just have this fear. Someone ease my nerves and share w/ me your happy experience after a early loss!! I'm off to the store now to buy more tests!

Just wanted to say how great it is to see you over on this side! Also put down the sticks!!!! FRER scared the crap out of me after 15 dpo they never got darker. I thought poas would reassure me, but it made it soooo much worse. Thanks Ali!!!!!! I bought a box of FRER's and w/o a good hold and diluted pee, I rushed home and POAS. The line appeared immediately after the urine passed the strip and so much darker than my last test, so I'm feeling better. I had a moment of insecurity and for now, it's gone, but until I see that little hb, I will have a panic attack here and there, I am sure of it, lol.

I totally understand what you're going through.
Try to relax and enjoy being pregnant.
For me every week got better (after 12 weeks I was actually able to breath again) but I really didn't mellow out until I was holding her and then a whole new type of stress and worry kicked in ;)
After you see the heart beat get yourself a Sonoline B Doppler, it really helped keep me sane from about week 10 until I had her (but don't stress if you can't always find the hb sometimes they hide from us)
Btw after you're so far along (I think around 5-6 weeks) your hpt will likely start to get lighter, this really happens, and sparked a MAJOR freak out in me. So if that happens to you put the sticks away, take a deep breath, google for an hour and then accept it's normal :)
Youve been blessed, try to enjoy these first precious months of carrying your little one.

Thanks Happy! I had a doppler w/ DD. I will definitely get one for #2. As soon as I felt her moving and kicking, I didn't need the doppler anymore. I was preety relaxed w/ DD, but since my chemicals this time around, relaxing is so hard. I can't wait to see that little hb.

Mari, my last pregnancy ended at 5w3d and now I've got my sticky bean. Honey, this is going to be your take home baby. Me and all the other girls have a good feeling about this one. It's so normal to be anxious once you've had a loss. I'm still nervous and will be until I'm getting regular movement that I can monitor. Our innocence of automatically equating pregnancy=baby is now gone and we can never get that back. I think it just makes us appreciate our rainbow babies even more;)

I was in the same boat! 1 chemical and a mmc @ 8wks... I'm 18w today and as time goes on, it gets easier. The 1st time I saw a HB I felt better. When I hit the 2nd Tri, I breathed easier. A week ago, I found out I'm having a boy. I still get nervous and I've learned that it's ok... It's what us mommas do!

I'm feeling the same. I am so scared. Hearing success stories makes me feel so much better. Hang in there! :D
