Pregnant After Ectopic

Fri Jun 01, 2012 10:48 am

Hi all,

My DH and I have been married for 8 years, and had I had an ectopic 7 years ago at around 8-9 wks. I didn't know I was pregnant and at what I'd guess was 7 wks urine tests were still showing negative. Ended up having my tube removed in surgery.

This past Saturday I got a BFP (estimated 14dpo), and after much panicking because I was on vacation and it was a long weekend, I got to the doc on Tuesday for blood tests. I was relieved and thought my numbers were good with

17dpo- HCG 245 & Progesterone 17.1
19dpo- HCG 520

However, I came on here and looked at other people's HCG listings and they all seem so much higher than mine. My doc said this looks normal so far, and that we'll likely do my ultrasound early next week to look for the sac.

What do you guys think? Should I be worried?

Had u/s today, not ectopic! Yay! Hoping for the best as the pregnancy moves forward. :)

Hi Morghan,

So glad to hear it wasn't an ectopic. I also had one diagnosed too late and lost my left tube 4 years ago. I'm finally pregnant now too, 19 weeks!

Hope your pregnancy goes well :)

Those numbers are great! It's hard to compare to others numbers but glad everything is working out for you! Hope everything keeps going well.

Its no good comparing your HCG to other women's...these things come in a broad range of sizes...just like babies!

I'm so glad you got a good u/s! Such a relief for that little peanut to be in the right spot!

Here's the chart I check my numbers against. I can't really do the conversion for your dpo to day since lmp...but you can do that!
