Hi ladies,

Congratulations on all your rainbows!

this probably isnt the post for this but as I recognised a few of you I thought id join in. I lost my son in september aged 5 weeks from infant leukemia. Its probably too early for me but all I can think about is wanting to try for a rainbow baby. You ladies are so brave and I admire every single one of you.

how did you ladies (and partners) decide to try for your rainbows? I worry that my partner just isnt ready (understandably) but I just dont want this to end. We're now childless and all I want to do is look after my baby. Hope you ladies can relate to that.

Sorry for being a downer! Wishing you all h+h rainbow babies xxx

fehnder, I can't even think of the words to express how sorry I am for you. I cannot imagine going through what you have :(. I hadn't even realized your situation was possible, and my heart breaks for you and your significant other.

As far as deciding to trying again for us...we just never prevented anything after our loss. Our son was lost at 21 weeks gestation due to Trisomy 13 in December. After that, I figured if my body is ready, I will get pregnant again and it will be a healthy baby. If not, then I may not get pregnant or I may suffer another loss (which the doctor said that there wasn't an increase in the chance of miscarriage directly following the loss...but I have heard conflicting info on this, so definitely talk to your doctor). Anyway, we weren't preventing for 8 months, and finally conceived again.

I can totally relate to wanting to try again, because that's all that I wanted to do...I told DH that I wouldn't feel right again until I was pregnant again. I hope that doesn't sound selfish..but our son was very much planned and wanted. I was 100% ready to be a mommy, and I still am!

Fehnder I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

I agree with mrsm - immediately following the loss I wanted to try again right away. It took us 5 months to conceive again. My DH and I also didn't prevent anything from happening.

Hello ladies,
In october I had my first true miscarriage. (I had 2 chemicals before) I got my bfp 3.5 weeks later. I have been very nervous that something might happen again. I had an apt for 6 weeks last time on a monday and had to go to urgent care on the saturday before because of spotting and cramping. My hcg was only 58 on that day. I don't know when something went wrong, and I am currently in the 5th week again. I need to make it past this week and I will feel better. I have an apt at 8 weeks and will get an u/s and can't wait to see hb.

Welcome and congrats on your BFP!

BFPs are definitely different once you've had a miscarriage. I found myself worrying and unsure about being "excited" for quite awhile. Just take it one step at a time!
Keep us posted on your 8w apt! :)
