Pregnant after loss in March

Postby Andrea86 » Tue Oct 21, 2014 6:22 am

Hi ladies.

So long story short, my husband and I have done a total of 10 IUIs. The 6th is what got us preg the first time, and we lost that baby after we heard a heartbeat, etc. in the 6th week. We lost it in the 9th week, but it only measured 6 wks. Anyway, we did 4 IUIs after our loss, and this cycle we just did Timed Intercourse to "take a break". And we're pregnant!!

My first beta at 12dpo was 48.

I'm scare that I'll lose it again, and I know there's nothing I can do, but has anyone found any good coping mechanisms? My RE said we could do an u/s every wk til I'm released to my OB, so I think that'll be helpful. I'm trying to be so careful and perfect this time around.

It may sound strange, but my coping mechanism so far has been having a 'we'll see' attitude. I just take it one day at a time, and try not to assume that I will have a healthy baby in 6 months. I know that sounds bad, but it's the only way to stay sane.

Yeah. My first u/s isn't for 3 weeks. I thought it would be sooner. I wish I was one of those women who found out after the first trimester instead of at 3.5 wks. I'm only 4w1d now! U/s isn't til 6w6d. I can't even.

I am kind of holding that same attitude to protect myself. But it's hard not to be constantly thinking about it.

I completely understand. It's difficult. :( Try to keep your chin up, and keep yourself busy in the mean time to keep your sanity.

Oh, ya know. The usual freaking out every second of every day. I had an ultrasound at 5w1d and saw a sac in the right place. I go back Nov. 11 for a 6w6d u/s to see a heartbeat (hopefully!)
