How many sweeps did you get before labour started? Also, how far along were you when you got them?

I got a stretch (couldn't tolerate a sweep) at 41 weeks and went into early labour right away, and active labour two days later.

With my first, I had a membrane strip at 38 weeks and another at 39 weeks. I ended up being induced with my son immediately following my 39 week stripping because of high bp, so I have no idea if it would have worked.

I had one membrane strip at 38 weeks with my daughter. It didn't do anything for me; she was born at 40w 2d. Sex and the big o seemed to be much more helpful in my case; contractions started almost immediately.

I had it done with my 3rd pregnancy, and it started contractions, and I lost my 'bloody show' but I didn't go into labour! A week later they broke my waters and used pitocin to get things moving.

My sneaky OB did a sweep without telling me (I'm totally fine with it) at my 38w appt. I went in at 39w, asked for a sweep, the resident said there was nothing to sweep (that's when I found out the OB did it the week before, haha), and I started having contractions the next evening.. I finally delivered at 39+3.

I had an attempted sweep with my first at 40+4 but the doctor said I was undilated and baby wasn't down that far. I ended up self inducing at 41 weeks and had her at 41+1
