C-section Incision is a little sore !

Postby Amay82 » Thu Aug 09, 2012 10:51 am

I have had two Vaginal Births and then in 2011 I had my first C-Section due to complications and not being able to dilate sue to too much scar tissue . I noticed with this pregnancy that my incision seems to burn a little and hurt just a little . Not all the time just here and their . Anyone else who has had a previous C-Section deal with this ? Is it normal ? I still do not have another appointment until I hit the 16 week mark ( 4 weeks away ) .

My incision is from 2010. It had been fading nicely but is now red again and itches like crazy. I would imagine the pain comes from the stretching. Scar tissue doesn't have the elasticity that regular skin does. It sounds like it would be pretty normal but I haven't had that experience yet.

My section incision is only 6 weeks old but I have had a previous abdominal surgery (laproscopic) in 2008. The larger 2 inch incision from that surgery will bother me occasionally. Generally it's if I've been lifting a lot or started a new workout routine. I agree with the above poster that it's probably about the scar tissue not stretching properly.

I have had 3 c-sections and it sounds normal to me. I can remember it bothering me for sometime afterwards. Also, it has been 3 years since my last c-section and most of the area is still numb. It's such a odd feeling.
