I drank a lot of it to help prep my uterus for getting pregnant. I've talked to several women who use herbals and they all say to wait until your in your 3rd tri to drink it. It helps with labor. It doesn't taste bad, but its not the best tasting tea I've ever had. I will start drinking it about 4 weeks before my due date. I use Traditional Medicinals Organic Raspberry Leaf. I get it at my grocery store, but almost all health food and vitamin stores carry it. If you don't want to drink it, raspberry leaf also comes in pill form.

I drank it starting at 34 weeks with DD honestly the taste was just link raspberry zinger tea but it didn't do much for labor. I didn't go until 39+3 and I had to get pitocin cause my contractions were useless. But its a really yummy drink especially in the cold. :)

I'm a RRL tea believer. I drank it daily beginning in 2nd tri with DD2 and noticed a huge difference in the strength and productivity of my contractions while in labor (unmedicated). My uterus started pushing on its own as soon as waters broke and baby was in my arms less than 15 minutes later.

There is a ton of info on RRL on the web so do some googling. The Mothering.com forums have a wealth of info.

You have to use the real leaf, not a raspberry-flavored tea like the zinger stuff. Traditional Medicinal bags are good but it is more cost effective to buy the leaves in bulk along with a tea ball infuser. I buy my leaves from http://www.bulkherbstore.com. Enjoy!

I started drinking a real pregnancy blend tea (RRL, nettle, rose hips and alfalfa) in the 3rd tri with my first baby. I drank it religiously, and even drank 2 or more cups a day near the end. I went into labor early, had a natural labor that wasn't overly difficult. I do think it helps.

this time I started it the beginning of the 2nd tri and am now trying to work up to 2 cups a day now at 29 weeks. Unfortunately, I don't think Raspberry Zinger tea is really the way to go.... it isn't the real raspberry leaf as far as I know (or very little). Try a health food store or bulk herb place online to find the real deal.

BTW, it is supposed to prep and tone your uterus for labor, provide extra whole food nutrients and vitamins vital to baby and pregnancy, and also to help with healing afterwards! So don't just wait until a month before labor--it is super beneficial while baby is developing, also! It really is a great thing to drink when pregnant!

I have seen raspberry leaf tea at Target! It's the Traditional Medicinals brand, which is organic and all that jazz.
