AF Poll

Postby LemonJelly » Sat Feb 07, 2009 9:20 am

I'm sure this has been done 100 times before - but I thought I'd do a poll to see when different people's AF came back. Instead of lengths of time I've tried to describe the situation - I know this won't work for everyone - but I think it will be more useful than 3-6m 9-12m etc as everyone's experiences are different!

Oh - if you got a BFP without AF please answer too! (That's part of the reason I'm interested - it's a bit soon yet but I do want to start ttc again - but no sign of AF yet!)

Sorry. I answered "other" because it really didn't seem to correlate with anything. Jack was 5.5 months old had been sleeping 6+ hours at night since he was 7 weeks or so. But I also hadn't started solids yet. Hadn't dropped any feedings either. :dunno:

I voted after starting solids, but my LO was STTN fairly regularly by then as well. I was 7 months pp exactly when AF returned!

I just got mine at 5 months PP with absolutely no changes in feeding patterns. My DD has been STTN since 9 weeks and feeds every 3 hours during the day and hasn't started solids yet but I still got my AF! :? Oh well.

It's the usual story - half of us want to see the wtich the rest want her to stay away - but she only comes for those who don't want her!

My Mum was still feeding when AF came to her - but I think it was around 6-8 months - once we were sleeping longer and started solids. I'll just have to wait and see.

Did she come back regular for you when she arrived? (anyone?!)

I got mine 7 mo pp when he started going 6 hrs at night consistently. Mine were not regular and charting and TTC were frustrating the first couple cycles, but I got pg on cycle #5!

Hmm. Hannah is 5 months and I just started spotting yesterday. Not really a "spotter" so this is weird.

I got my first pp AF when Jaydon cut down to two sessions per day (12 m onths). He is now 14 months, totally weaned, and I have only had one period. This month it is officially 1 week and 3 days late. I POAS Wednesday, however, and got a BFN :( I would like to start trying again if AF would ever show!!!!!!

I got my 1st period at 10 weeks 3days post partum :? Lame! Evianne still nurses 2-3 times per night and doesn't sttn. When I got the 1st period I asked my sister who has 3 kids, and ebf. She said she would get a light one every 3-4 months, but I've already gone back to my regular schedule. I'm O'ing right on schedule. And you're right!! It's the one's that don't want it back who get it. HTH.
