You can do it!

I pumped for 16 months (I think)

It is very hard work, but so so so so worth it. I was pumping once a day and was only getting about 2 oz of milk, but it was 2 oz well worth it.

I wouldn't mind if it was just once or twice. But I pump 3x and still have to give a little bit of formula.

I know when I pump, I pump the most earlier in the week and in the am.

I know I LOATHE pumping as well. I couldn't imagine pumping 3x a day. Although (I work in the election office) and for our primary election I had to. It was dreadful. My 7 pm pumping session I think I got 2 oz. But it is what it is.

I know I can't pump if I'm stressed. DO you have a routine you do before you pump. It could be as simple as just taking everything out of your bag in a certain way. I find that along with just thinking of dd and thinking of my milk flowing like a river. (as oddball as it sounds) I also try not to look at my output. That will stress me out. Did you try compressing your breats or re-adjusting your nipples in the cup thingys? that sometimes hits different milk ducts. I also massage the girls before starting.

i do hand compressions which helps immensely. I've honestly decided to stop caring how much I get. That has actually helped with my output, and made me hate it less. the amount of dishes I wash daily from pumping is insane, because I have 3 sets of flanges so that I don't have to wash at work.

I know, I don't know what is worse...pumping or washing all the 'stuff' that goes with it...flanges, bottles, caps...ick. I love bfing straight from the tap!

But that is great, stress does a number on output...if you can relax, the amount just goes up :)
