My Mom doesnt think I need to keep BF at this point either. When I was 5 months old she had me on 2% milk! (this was a long time ago though, 1971 lol)

Yeah things used to be really different. They used to tell people to put honey on pacis (HONEY!), to lay babies on their tummies, then their sides. Scheduled feeding and stretching a baby out to longer feedings used to be the cats pajamas. Could you imagine sitting there while your baby screamed because it wasn't time to eat yet?!?

It's called Babywise. Several of my old DDC mates parent that way.

Yes, I heard of someone doing that. She sends her DD to daycare and sends 3 bottles and she is only supposed to eat every 3 or 4 (can't remember) and you HAVE to follow that schedule. So if baby is hungry you need to wait until it is 'time' to eat.

I couldn't imagine, letting my poor baby scream because she was so hungry. What about when it is growth spurt time? Poor babies :(

I'm trying to not let people bother me with breastfeeding, I had someone tell me, to get my baby some similac...umm no thankyou...I'm doing just fine!
