Tnanks Becca! I have done that before. We did it at night time and now she sleeps all night. Actually what I'm doing now is I'm not going to let her take boobie naps anymore. I would let her nap on the boob for 1-1.5 hrs sometimes so of course she would expect it! Well, I'm committed to laying her in the crib now evertime she takes a nap/falls asleep on the boob. On Sunday, I did this and it actually worked. Once I layed her down, she rolled to her side, eyes open, then fell asleep without crying. We'll see how it goes next weekend (I work so all her naps during the week are at daycare). I really want her to get proper sleep during the day. To me, sleep is just as important as nutrition.

Do you know, when I posted this on my FB page, I had someone tell me that I should just not make her take naps and put her to bed earlier at night LOL! As if Im going to starve my child of sleep during the day because its "easier"? I was floored. What 10 month old baby doesnt need to take naps! Absurd.

And not only that, you would have to deal with an EXTREMELY cranky baby ALL day who wouldn't sleep as well at night because they were overtired.

I honestly HATE when people without kids try to give advice. Uhm. No.

Just a thought... maybe not even the case, but some babies give up on regular naps quite early because they sleep forever at night (like 13 - 15 hours) That definitely wasn't my son. He won't sleep more than 10 - 11 hours at night max, so he definitely needs that 1 hr nap during the day.

He was actually taking two naps, one longer, one quite short, until about 16 months.

This past weekend i have really been more consistent on laying her down for naps instead of letting her nap on the boob for an hour. Ive also been more consistent in the 9am and 1pm nap times (roughly) and its going better.

I need to get on this. Right now he's teething and wakes up even at night when I lay him down. Although he did take a nap in his swing this weekend. These boobie addicted babies can be difficult. I feel like he misses the connection and wants to nurse even more on the weekends.
