I swore I would take weekly nursing pics of Leo, since I have VERY few of M. Well, life got in the way

But I plan to do it weekly from now on!
Here are the ones I took today (don't worry, I won't spam them all here weekly ;) )

He's almost nine months old. I can't believe it. Closer to toddlerhood than babyhood, it pains me how fast they grow. :(

Don't mind my unbrushed hair and makeup free face. :) He usually likes to nurse on his belly, like he's swimming

I am so happy to be able to post my BFing pictures. I have been EPing for the past 5 weeks until 2 weeks ago on a whim, I successfully put DS back on the boob - YIPPEE!

And I love this one, taken just after I accidentally sprayed him in the face. His look is priceless!

and Violet Joy: born Thursday 19th, VBAC waterbirth, 39w2d, 3.35kg/7lbs 6oz, still a booby monster, just shared it with her big sister for 18 months.

Also, I found this poem and it made me cry... we aren't here yet, but I can imagine when we will be

In-Between
by Laurie McLeod-Combs

You have reached the age now
where you squirm
and tumble
and twist at the breast,
laughing when I yelp and rearrange you.
But there are times,
moments really,
when you are still
and quiet and almost asleep.
I am able to trace the curve of your cheek
and the tips of your eyelashes
and smooth your wild, wispy, wonderful
hair.
It is in these moments,
these not enough moments,
as I inhale the spicysweet scent of you,
that I am most at peace
with what I am
and who you will be.

Oh, this has me bawling. DS weaned over two years ago, and the thing I am looking most forward to with this new LO are the late nights nursing when it's just me and my brand new baby. I didn't appreciate those days with DS until they were long gone...I hope I see them for what they are this time!

I hadn't noticed this thread before--I have ZERO pics of DS nursing. I worried too much about what people would think and so never took any. These pics are all so beautiful.
